Remarks from our guests:
--“Thank you for sharing your special slice of heaven with us. We enjoyed hiking, boating and relaxing with special friends! We feel blessed to have spent quality time with people we care about in this beautiful place.
We will miss the spectacular sunsets and relaxing on the pier—not to mention the great meals together. My son tremendously enjoyed “treasure hunting” on the beach and catching fish and crawdads.
We can hardly wait to come back….”
---“Today we go home. I love the sunrise on the pier. It is so quiet and beautiful. When I need to relax in the future, I will think back to this place and time.”
“I am sitting here in the kitchen looking over the water and at the mountains thinking how fortunate I am to be in such a wonderful place. I must bring my watercolor friends here when I return”
…” Our group had a wonderful fall quilting week here. We eight friends have quilted, laughed and cried together this week. The beautiful surroundings are an inspiration for our design work. The house is warm and welcome and spacious enough to spread out our sewing.
Thank you for a week of immersion in beauty and friendship…”

This "cabin" is really the get away of a lifetime! My family and I came for a week in the summer and it was spectacular! We went boating and hiking and we even visited the south shore. We played games on the deck in the evening and watched the sunset. What an amazing and peaceful place! We will be back!

I promise you, May Ah Mee Lodge is not Tahoe City, it's not Kings Beach and it certainly isn't South Lake Tahoe. It's the civilized, sophisticated, quiet side of the lake. Not that those plebeian destinations surrounding Lake Tahoe aren't within a short drive, it's just that May Ah Mee insulates you from them if you chose. While you're staying at May Ah Mee you feel like you're the owner. It's surrounded by either private homes or vacant land and is accessed by a private driveway with plenty of parking. The amenities work well for large or small groups and the decor ranges from authentic Old Tahoe to 21st Century conveniences. While the house and its location (you can drop a stone into the lake from the deck) is to die for, my favorite part about May ah Mee is the dock. It's huge! It's long! It's modern! Plenty of room for lounging, sunbathing, fishing, birdwatching, boating launching, of course, and boat-watching. We have visited May Ah Mee every fall for at least the last ten years and plan to for the next ten too. It's worth staying right on the lake because there's nothing like falling asleep and waking up to the sound of Lake Tahoe lapping at the shore just under your window.

Ah, this place is simply breathtaking...Our family was "hooked" from the moment we first arrived. The water is crystal clear and air is crisp and clean. From morning kayaking to afternoons on the deck or boat dock soaking in the sun! Nothing screams relaxation quite like this place. We wake to a great breakfast and have plenty of room to stretch out in this huge, yet cozy lakefront home. Evening dinners and barbeques are always a plus outside on the deck with the lake as our backyard. Inside and out our group of 8+ always has ample room to roam and plenty of quite areas, even with 4 young and quite loud boys! We have also been in Wintertime where we snowshoed and played in the snow right there alongside the cabin! Skiing at Homewood was a blast! Again, our family felt like we have found a favorite new treasure in this ski resort! The May Ah Mee is fully furnished with anything you could possibly need while you're there. We love playing board games from their variety of games they provide and we love snuggling in front of their beatuiful fireplace! There is a beautiful view of the lake from every room and it's great waking up in the morning with the sun reflecting off the water. Our sons are always safe here and we can watch them roam and explore the lake from the back deck without a care in the world. No crossing a busy street to get to the lake or dock, it's right outside the back door! Because the cabin is located off the main highway there is no loud traffic noise to disturb you. It's definately peaceful. If you must, there is a Wi-Fi connection to connect with the office, but we mainly just use that for looking up local events and attractions. A paved bike trail along highway 89 makes for a great bike ride in either direction. Some days we like to venture out and see new things, other days we just stick close to home and relax, without a care in the world! I'd recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Go once and you'll see what I am talking about, it's simply magical!

"A TRIP TO PARADISE"

This was a perfect spot for fun and relaxation, especially for a multi generation group, as we were. The rock house section was perfect for our daughter, son-in-law, and their two boys (ages 1&3), because it not only had an especially large bedroom, but there was a large bathtub in the bathroom and had its own spacious living room where they could play and where their toys were contained. I brought an octagon shaped corral for them which we placed on the spacious lower deck where they played safely when not playing indoors or in the sand. The rest of us enjoyed beautifully appointed rooms, each with a spectacular lake view, and plenty of privacy. It was wonderful having our private pier. The two sets of grandparents could enjoy the breathtaking views, feel like a part of the activities, and have a wonderful time whether or not they chose to go on our children's ski boat. If you can pull yourself away from paradise, there are many choices of nearby restaurants and entertainment, as well as sight seeing opportunities. The sunsets were unbelievably beautiful, especially viewed from the balcony while sipping a glass of delicious wine.

We had yet another wonderful time in your beautiful lodge! It's very spacious, but homey. It's clean, comfortable, a great location and provides many opportunities for special times with friends and family. There is so much to do and see around there! We especially liked our trips on the water, the hike at Emerald Bay (don't miss the amazing waterfall!) and simply the time hanging out together. Thank you!
