Great place for friends to gather!

Although I live in the area, when a group of friends decided to come into town for the weekend to help celebrate my birthday we needed a little more room. We planned on visiting wineries and this cabin allowed us to be in the general area of those on the Western Trail of the Monticello Wine Trail. Once finished with the wineries, it was nice to sit back and relax on the back deck with great friends and good conversation. The listing photos accurately reflect the interior of the cabin which was spacious and very accommodating for seven adults and a toddler. Suzanne was very responsive in answering questions - both while inquiring about the property and once our reservation was made. The only downside to the cabin is the lack of cell phone coverage, but that was only a problem while trying to make sure everyone was on there way and knew how to get there. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a gathering place for friends and/or family at a great value!

Definitely a "diamond in the rough". Searching through VRBO for rental places are abundant in Wintergreen, but there's nothing like staying at the Mason's place! Situated in a nice and quiet location, this home slept 10 adults comfortably. Extremely clean and well maintained home. The shuttle stop, which literally is at the end of the driveway, was extremely convenient. If you are coming to ski/snowboard in Wintergreen, I would definitely recommend this place. Suzanne, the owner, is also exceptionally great to work with! She answers questions and provided great service prior and post stay. We are actually staying again at the end of the month to get one last ski/snowboard trip in and I was lucky enough to re-book again! Alfred

We stayed in Feb 2010 with another family (4 adults, 4 children total). We had plenty of space. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow outside on the golf course. We had an easy time getting to the ski lodge. We drove, but then some of us took the shuttle back (very simple to do). The area had record levels of snow before our visit, the driveway was cleared prior to our arrival and we fit 2 cars into the parking areas. As far as the resort, the insturction for the children was the best I have see in the south. The lifts were well 'manned' and skier safety/responsibility was stressed. We were very happy with our weekend and hope to return next ski season. The owners sent complete directions/house details and our deposit was returned promptly. Thank you.

Wow! We (a family of 5, with young children) traveled to Wintergreen for the very first time this weekend for a quick getaway. What a wonderful place! This house is beautiful, well appointed, and well maintained. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the decor for a getaway place. Having rented homes in other vacation areas before, this was by far the most well taken care of and clearly, well loved by the property owners. Everything we could have wanted was available for us to use. We spent a lot of time at the lake (about 10 miles away, but part of the resort property) which also was immaculately maintained and cared for. We spent the ride home talking about how soon we want to get back to this cabin!

We have stayed at this property two times, enjoying it so much last fall that we returned again this fall and have it reserved yet again. We have stayed at other properties in Wintergreen and by far prefer this one. The house is beautifully and cosily decorated. Our Grandchildren love having their own upstairs which is perfect for children of both sexes with lots of toys. The owners are great to deal with and have provided everything one would need. Terry
