Looking over the many reviews already posted here, I find there’s really not much left for me to add to the eulogies and detailed descriptions of this gorgeous and unique property. Villa Paraíso undoubtedly lives up to its name. I’ve been coming here approx. every 3 years for a number of years, and every time I’m back, I’m amazed at the way Judith, the owner and a long-time friend of mine since our early days at UT Austin, Texas, manages to add even more beauty to this place that seemed already perfect to me the very first time I got to discover it. The constant upgrades Judith has made over the years are so completely in line with the fascinating environment that everything blends in just perfectly with Mother Nature. As a result of all these improvements, visitors get to live an unforgettable experience in great comfort and in an atmosphere of total relaxation and harmony. It all makes you feel like you were on a different planet. The spectacular view from all parts of the house and the famous Acapulco sunsets are only some of the assets the villa has to offer; not to mention Anita, who will pamper you with the results of her incredible cooking talents and delicious drinks. For those of you who, like me, need some activity besides relaxing, you can go waterskiing on a nearby lake (Pie de la Cuesta), but actually, you don’t even have to leave the premises. You can just walk down to the private beach or explore for hours the “piece of jungle” right below the house (suitable footwear required!). In fact, you don’t even need a car when you feel the urge to shake a leg. At only 3 min. walking distance from the house you’ll find a spacious terrace-like restaurant overlooking the ocean, where live-bands are performing almost daily. This is a hot tip for lovers of salsa and Latin-American music in general, even though Judith will hate me for mentioning this… (she is not enthused at all by the presence of this place in her neighbourhood). Villa Paraíso is a fantastic retreat for anyone, no matter whether you visit with friends, family or on your own. I guarantee you’ll miss it once you’re back home – like I do now!

Family Vacation in Paradise

My family (wife, 3 yr. old daughter, in-laws, brother & sister in law, two teen age nephews and nice and I) just spent a wonderful week at Villa Paraiso. I am a return visitor as I had visited several times in the past, but the last was over ten years ago. I must say that the many improvements made this stay more comfortable and entertaining than ever before. The cable tv and internet service really came in handy. The pool was as wonderful as I remembered, and the Jacuzzi offered us another way to enjoy paradise. The owner of the property was terrific. She assured that all of the arrangements were taken care of, and checked in with us during our visit to make sure that everything was in order. The caretakers of the property were just wonderful, and took care of our every need. Anita (the chef) prepared anything that we wanted, and my wife enjoyed spending (a little) time in the kitchen to share and learn secrets. We spend most of the time on the property, however we did make it down to the private beach several times as well as a day trip to Pie de la Questa and an evening at the costera (the Acapulco strip). Each are less than 15 minutes away, so the trip is easy. We went to Villa Paraiso to relax and spend some quality family time, and that we did. We would highly recommend Villa Paraiso to anyone who want to be pampered. We'll definitely

Thanks Judith for your wonderful hospitality. Villa Paraiso is truly the most beautiful house I have ever holidayed in. The views are spectacular; the pool and jacuzzi are perfect; the cook is great and friendly; the sunsets are sublime; the air conditioned rooms are very comfortable; and the whole house is filled with marble, onyx, sandstone and tropical plants and fresh flowers. Every day we wake up at about 10am; then we have coffee, tropical fruit and then a hot breakfast of omelettes or whatever each person wants. today for lunch we are having lobsters bought at the local fish-market by Emilio, the caretaker and husband of Anita the cook. Last night we had dinner in a restaurant at Acapulco bay with stunning views and ambience (Senor Frog's). Two days ago we went wakeboarding at Pie de la Cuesta - a geographical miracle where a lake flanked by dramatically jagged mountains and full of traditional fisherman and birdlife is divided by a thin belt of white sand which reveals behind it a long stretch of beach with raging surf. You can see the plumes of white spray rising up from the sandbank from your boat in the lake. Tomorrow we are going to see the sunken Virgin of Guadelupe. Finally this visit to Mexico has been a combination of all the things that make a holiday great which is a mixture of culture and comfort and meeting good people.

I came to Acapulco from Australia to have a sunny mid-winter holiday and I got it. The house pool was lovely and cool for the sunny days, the jacuzzi was beautifully warm during cooler evenings. Anita, the cook, did a wonderful job feeding us fresh, healthy Mexican cuisine and cooked anything we requested including lobster at about USD15 a day per person. The rooms were clean, luxurious and fitted with all the mod cons including air con and dvd players. The layout of the property was in 3 levels with the middle level being the communal living area. It was perfect for privacy and socialising. Judith, our host, went out of her way to accommodate our every need including driving us around Acapulco and Mexico City, driving us from Mexico city to Acapulco, organising boat trips, waterskiing, going to the surfbeach and recommending all the best restaurants and bars. We felt safe and cared-for the entire time we were in Mexico! The only downside was that the first two days we were in Acapulco there was a hurricane so we had two days of rain, with the kitchen area flooding, and inconsistent electricity. After that however, everything ran smoothly and Judith did her best to get everything rectified as quickly as she could. I highly recommend this house for all manner of travellers and it's a great bargain.

The absolute beauty of this place knocked us of our feet. That coupled with the great food and atmosphere made this a trip I will remember for a lifetime. The villa was very clean, the staff was wonderful and the security (gated community) complete. Away from it all and just 15 minutes from Pie de la Cuesta, a gorgeous lake with an ocean on the other side where we skiied daily, and 15 minutes from the strip where all the action is. We recommend this place highly for everyone!!! Clodine Salinas Employee of Valero Oil in Houston, Texas.

I had a fabulous stay at Villa Paraiso. This unique villa continues to captivate my interest as it is the second time I visit since the recent addition of the downstairs section of the house. This new part is awesome and has a Jacuzzi for 6 and a Hawaiian style tiki hut (cabana or palapa) with a gorgeous view of the ocean, perfect for reading, working on your laptop, or just chatting and relaxing. My first stay took place when I was only a child. I celebrated for a week , swimming in the pool alongside my brother all day long while my mother and aunt preferred relaxing poolside on beach chairs while watching the famous Acapulco sunsets from the comfort of our own villa. Those days represent memorable moments that continue to live on today. Now that I am older, and have had the chance to visit this unique home again, I have come to appreciate even more the serene beauty of this place, as well as its relaxing environment and delicious food prepared daily by Anita, who is very friendly and an incredible cook. I recommend it highly for friend reunions, romantic couples, retirees, and families.

Once again, I am unable to get through on your comcast email address -- is it no longer working? -- so am trying this one. Just a note to tell you once again what a terrific time we had at your villa. We arrived back to a raging snowstorm in Toronto, and I just wanted to get back on the plane and return to Acapulco. The week was wonderful, thanks to your unfailing help and the attentive care provided by Anita and Emilio. As promised, we have been telling everyone we know about the great time we had and the gorgeous views from the villa. We have vowed to return a year from now with the couple who could not make it this time around. My husband fell in love with Acapulco, so much so that we are now seriously considering buying property there. Perhaps you could keep an eye out for us. We would love to buy a run-down, out-of-date or unfinished building (owned by someone who has run out of money to renovate and has to sell). My husband has the skills to re-do a place (we are currently renovating an early 19th century farmhouse in upstate New York), so we would rather buy a run-down place cheap and do it over to our standards. We love the area you are in; also Las Playas near the old town. Access to the ocean would be great, but not necessary. But we definitely want the views. If you come across something you feel is a great deal, please let us know. Looking to spend no more than $300,000 -- and not interested in a condo, it has to be a private house/villa. Bye for now, and I will stay in touch.
