Everything is fresh, clean, and new...including the furniture, kitchen supplies, and beautiful ceramic tile floors throughout. The bathrooms and closets are also new and well organized. Entire condo was freshly painted (same colors) in September 2010. New Washer & Dryer April 2012. New TV 47' Flat Screen added in 2013.
The romantic master bedroom also has a full wall of glass, leading out to the lanai. If you keep your bathroom door open, you can even see the ocean from your shower!
If you feel compelled to check your e-mail, or surf the internet, we have provided free wireless high-speed internet with secure access for your laptop so that you can use your computer on the over 23 foot lanai balcony that has direct and side views of the ocean and beach.
Shell collectors will love long walks on the Sanibel Island beach that is famous for the incredible variety and quantity of sea shells! Sanibel Island has been named as one of the top shelling beaches in Travel & Leisure magazine. Sanibel has also recently been featured on the Travel Channel and included in the '1,000 Places to See Before You Die' book.
This well-equipped condo includes special extra touches because we want you to have what you need for a fantastic vacation. Enjoy our high quality plush lanai furniture, new pillows and blankets. There is also a washer and dryer in the condo. Ceiling fans were installed in the bedrooms and lanai. If you love to cook you'll be delighted with the extensive high quality kitchen supplies. If you would rather leave the cooking to someone else, there are over 40 delicious restaurants on Sanibel. After dinner we have over 100 different movies from which you can choose to watch.
Sanibel Surfside only has 38 units, providing a calm and peaceful ambiance for your vacation. Most of the Sanibel Surfside owners are residents here and have been very friendly and welcoming to our guests. Children are welcome, but please do not bring their colorful markers to protect the expensive fine furnishings. They can swim in the pool and ocean, or build sand castles on the beach. The entire family can rent bikes (which can be delivered to you) and enjoy the bike friendly paths of Sanibel. We've also provided a variety of children's movies in our video library to give the adults some quiet time to enjoy the lanai views and sounds.
For your convenience we have a closet full of beach chairs, beach umbrella, pool/beach toys, coolers, beginner's tennis rackets, etc... for you to borrow during your vacation. So pack light, and enjoy our many extra amenities!
Are you a golfer?... There are 2 golf courses nearby. Do you enjoy tennis? There are 2 tennis courts (resurfaced Sept 2012) behind the pool area for Sanibel Surfside guests only. With only 38 units in this quaint peaceful complex, it is easy to find an available court. There are no tennis or shuffleboard fees.
There is a beautiful, uncrowded, refreshing heated pool!
Sanibel Surfside is also a SMOKE-FREE environment. The Condo's association by-laws do not allow smoking in the units, on the lanais, balconies, or anywhere near the pool. You can enjoy the fresh smell of the ocean breeze.
Sanibel Surfside was constructed before restrictions went into effect regarding how close you could be to the ocean. Thus, our condo is much closer to the water than most condo complexes. This is why you can enjoy hard-to-find unobstructed views down the coast line as well as directly out to the water.
We use the assistance of a local helpful & friendly rental property management company for many reasons. You can easily check-in to obtain your keys regardless of how late you might arrive on Sanibel. Also, they will quickly respond 24 hours a day if you are locked out or misplace your keys. Their professional office will handle any paperwork and safely/securely collect your deposit & rental payments. They can also help you with any requests you may have while staying in our condo. The rental management company has a complimentary computer and printer available to you in their large, beautiful lobby, if you need to print a boarding pass or an important e-mail. Their services help us to provide excellent customer service to our guests so that you may have a first-rate, relaxing, and worry-free vacation.
If you decide to be our guest we will instruct our rental property management company to subtract $35 from your rent to make up for their $35 booking fee.
Rental periods are always Saturday to Saturday (with Check-In at 3pm and Check-Out at 10am). Our condo association regulations do not allow guest reservations for less than one week. Sanibel is such a fantastic island that you will be glad you stayed at least a week! We can confirm reservations up to 52 weeks in advance.

"Your condo is absolutely wonderful. We were very comfortable and appreciated every aspect of your place. Beautiful location coupled with your awesome decor, amenities, and organization/labeling was incredibly helpful. I really can't say enough how nice your place is. Simply beautiful. You and your husband have done a great job anticipating guest's needs and comfort. We rent a lot of vacation spots - from skiing in the mountains, shore homes, even trackside stays and your condo is far and above the best place we've seen. "The first morning I woke up and looked out at the Gulf and saw a dolphin and her baby swimming by FROM BED!!!!! That is something I will always remember as one of my favorite moments on the island!! We thoroughly enjoyed the condo and the beach. Everything was just perfect! This was my family's second visit to this unit and it felt like we were returning to "our" second home! The location, cleanliness, and amenities are top-notch. The owners are extremely friendly and have provided everything you could possibly need. On this visit, we cooked more in-condo and easily found everything from the right-sized pots and pans to plates, measuring cups, and grilling tools. We enjoyed the pool, beach and tennis courts during the day and spent evenings in the condo enjoying the direct gulf view, the wi-fi, the comfortable furnishings... and nightly games of charades. Darlene and Mike have made this a wonderful oasis for us and we hope to return! You won't find a nicer place to rent than this!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

If you're looking for the best place to stay on Sanibel Island, look no further! Our family of four has stayed in several different condos on Sanibel and this one exceeds all the others in all categories. The owners have spent a lot of time and money getting this condo to be the perfect getaway for two to six people. Everything you need for the beach is neatly stored in the locked storage closet next to your parking place. The pool is heated and wonderful to relax by. The view and ambiance of the full lanai is a wonderful place to have morning coffee, a snack, lunch, or just sitting and reading. You can see all the way down the coast to Naples! The beach is literally 20 steps from the elevator. The bike trails are at the end of the driveway and the Donax Street location puts you in the middle of all the action on Sanibel. I can't emphasize enough how much you'll enjoy choosing this condo to stay in. Our family was totally relaxed by the end of the first day we stayed there. Read the journal they have in the condo to see the great remarks that all dwellers said. Highly recommend....five stars out of five!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

"I did want to share with you that your condo will always be my favorite (we have stayed 3 times in Sanibel now). You have done a phenomenal job of making guests feel extremely well taken care of, and there will never be a better view than that from the master bedroom and the lanai. All the amenities are much appreciated. I will definitely check in with you again for our next trip. Our family of five stayed in this beautiful condo during Christmas break. The condo was fully stocked with high quality amenities. The decor is tasteful and the beds were extraordinarily comfortable. We enjoyed the large master bath with double sinks and walk in closet. The flat screen TVs, ipod docking station and wi-fi were wonderful, and we couldn't get enough of the breathtaking, expansive view of the gulf from the living room AND the master bedroom. We're neat freaks and the condo was perfectly clean. The pool was steps away and very, very warm. We also enjoyed the beach chairs and beach accessories. I could go on and on about how wonderful this condo was. I've visited Sanibel often and cannot imagine a nicer place to stay on the island. I just hope we can return soon... and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else! One last note, the owners were very helpful and friendly. I emailed frequently prior to our trip and was always provided with timely, accurate and thorough information. They went out of their way to ensure our stay would be stellar.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Visiting Sanibel was always our favorite destination. This is not just a rental property to us, it is our tenderly cared for home-away-from-home. It is a pleasure to spoil our guests with the best views, service, amenities, and cleanliness. We hope some day to be able to live in this wonderful condo. Currently we live in St. Louis, Missouri and enjoy providing excellent hospitality to all our guests.
Why the Owner Chose Sanibel Surfside:
We selected this Sanibel condo after several years of patiently searching for 'the perfect condo' on the 'perfect beach'.
This large lanai was the closest to the ocean. The views and sounds were irresistible! The inside of the condo is equally beautiful.
We were also attracted to the quiet and small size of Sanibel Surfside.
We both love to play tennis at Sanibel Surfside and Mike is thrilled to be so close to the golf courses.

Sanibel Surfside's unique master bedrooms have an entire wall of sliding glass doors to watch the ocean while resting in bed.
All the furniture and bedding are new, fresh, updated, and clean.
