This new home is in the classic Mexican colonial style, with traditional features including a vented cupola, talavera tile and granite counters, and outdoor ramada and pool with cantera stone tiles and columns. It is situated in the hills above El Centenario with spectacular views from the mountains to the south, to the Bay of La Paz, and on to the Espiritu Santo Islands to the northeast.
The ramada and pool overlook natural desert, with large cardon cacti and other desert plants right on the property, which is adjacent to a small arroyo (ravine). The desert view stretches away into the far distance, unbroken by other homes. You will be entertained by numerous birds from ospreys to hummingbirds and woodpeckers. Occasionally small groups of donkeys will wander through the arroyo.
The home is on one level with one step up into the home and one step down to the ramada. The home is situated in a development of other homes.
There are restaurants, taco stands, and other services in town as well as a secluded sandy beach close by. Other beaches and the many amenities of the city of La Paz are a short drive away. |
