“Brigadoon” Oceanfront Luxury House with 5 Bedrooms/3.5 Baths, Ocean Front, Sleeps 11. Beautifully Interior Decorated! (Address is 911 South Ft. Fisher Blvd. Kure Beach, NC 28449) Larger than average lot size.

Light and airy 3000 square foot house with private beach access is tastefully decorated in cheerful colors. We keep the house IMMACULATE and I personally drive over, from Raleigh, before each visitor’s stay to insure the house is in tiptop condition. We take enormous pride in our home.
BEDROOMS-include 4 with, each, a queen size bed. Kid’s room has a bunk bed-twin over full. All have clean decorative quilts with matching shams, high quality mattresses and pillows. (I inspect the linens each week.) Ceiling fans in all but the kid’s room. We do not supply sheets or towels but can direct you to a rental agency. There are plenty of extra, soft, cozy blankets and extra pillows. All bedrooms have televisions. Kid’s room has a Wii gaming console with games and legos.
BATHS-there are 3 ½. The master bath features a STEAM SHOWER and JACUZZI. Top floor bedroom has a private bath. Jr. master suite and third bedroom share a large bathroom with shower. Kid’s room has a ½ bath off the room. All bathrooms have CLEAN bath mats and shower mats. We provide hand, bath soap and extra toliet paper.
KITCHEN: Pub table opens up to seat 4. Kitchen counter seats 4. Fully equipped with all appliances. High quality pots and pans, electric griddle, high-end coffee maker, toaster and beach themed dishes for 16. Tons of kitchen gadgets and cutlery and a new, large dishwasher. We provide kitchen towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap and spices. There is an extra refrigerator with a freezer in one of the two garages.
DINING ROOM: Table overlooks the ocean through large sliding glass doors and seats 8. Cloth napkins available for your use. Lighted hutch adds elegance to your dining experience.
LIVING AREA: Large sectional sofa faces gorgeous ocean views through sliding glass doors. Large plasma TV, with DVD player, I-pod jack and surround sound. We have a video library. Plenty of board games, books and children’s books. Wi-Fi, bring your laptop.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Private walkway to the beach. 2 large covered decks-it gets hot in the summer, you’ll love the shade of those decks. Outside stereo-use an I-pod or tune into our great local stations. We also have an outdoor hot/cold shower on the bottom level plus a hose. Propane grill on the top deck. Don’t drag your sand toys-we have baskets of them. Feel free to use our bikes, helmets, beach chairs and fishing poles. Only other large homes surround us-no crowds from the condos.
PARKING: Up to four cars. We can also accommodate a trailered boat.

Places to Visit:
Some of the best catches along the Carolina Coast have been made at the Kure Beach Fishing Pier. After a morning on the beach, visit the North Carolina State Aquarium, the Carolina Beach State Park, or the Historic Fort Fisher Museum. Go 4-Wheeling on the north or south-end beaches of the Island, charter a fishing boat or take a dinner cruise from the Carolina Beach Boat Basin. Just off the Island are golf courses, water parks, and plenty of spas to enjoy. The charming riverfront city of Wilmington is only 20 minutes away, and offers wonderful shops, restaurants, a Farmer’S Market on Saturday, and cultural activities. Another great day trip is a ferry ride to Southport, a fun fishing village with fabulous shops and restaurants.

Why the Owner Chose Kure Beach
We live in the Raleigh area and looked at all the beaches in North Carolina before committing to Kure Beach. We love the small town atmosphere. From our house we can walk to the Kure Beach Fishing Pier and pick up an ice cream cone or toss in a fishing line at the Kure Beach Pier. We also love the nice bike trails that lead to beautiful Ft. Fisher State Park. It also is great to have Wilmington so close when we want to shop or have more dining options.
The Unique Benefits at this House
My husband loves both the Jacuzzi Whirlpool and the steam shower. I love the covered decks because it can get awfully hot in North Carolina. It is wonderful to sit out on the decks and look for dolphins. We also like to surf fish and keep rods, beach chairs, bikes and sand toys for our guests use.

Dan (the big guy) is my youngest. He and his posse love the beach house. We have two sons in college and one in graduate school. They leave their poles and bikes for guests to use.
My husband & I go almost every weekend unless it is rented. I personally visit before each renter to insure the house is in tip top condition. We couldn't have picked a better place to buy that dreamed of beach house than in Kure Beach.

I have already reserved my time for 2012, This house is the ultimate vacation spot for family, beach and fun. The house is beautiful, decorated to provide comfort and cleanliness at a premium. I have traveled many places in my life but this is my favorite vacation destination.

We loved our stay at Brigadoon on Kure Beach. The house is beautifully decorated, spacious, and immaculately clean! The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is the perfect size for gathering friends and family around the table. This beach house looks like a model home, but has a welcoming feel. Best of all though are the views and sounds of the ocean----heavenly! We have traveled quite a bit and found Brigadoon(and the lovely owners) to be First Class!

Our family just concluded 8 nights at Brigadoon and loved all our time there. Brigadoon easily accomodated three families with our young children, and Janey was a star to work with (responsive and understanding). Parents and children came away with great memories and we look forward to a return trip in the future. The only thing we would change would be to add a secured wireless internet connection so that we could extend our stay by working remotely for a few days. Otherwise, we found everything better than advertised - no junky furniture, kitchen very thoughfully supplied, space well designed, home very clean. It was just what we were hoping for. Thanks for a great stay, Janey!

I spent a few days with some friends at Brigadoon at Kure beach. The house is beautifully cited on the beach with all the back windows facing the ocean with easy access to the water off the decks in the back. We spent the days looking out at the water, enjoying the pelicans flying directly overhead and walking the beach at both low and high tides. The house itself is large, comfortable,cozy and immaculately kept. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. I would unequivocably recommend Brigadoon for your next beach vacation.
