“Brigadoon” Oceanfront Luxury House with 5 Bedrooms/3.5 Baths, Ocean Front, Sleeps 12. Newly Decorated!
Light and airy, this 3,000 square foot house is new to the rental market. It is a secondary home, kept in tip top condition by the owners who are North Carolina residents.
There is off-street parking, garage parking and space for a trailered boat. The 1st floor level has an outside shower (hot & cold water), 2 garages, a grill, a second refrigerator and a half bath. Lots of beach chairs, sand toys, fishing poles and bikes are stored in the garages and available for guest's use. The large bedroom has a twin over full size bunk bed in addition to a queen convertible sleeper sofa. Equipped with a plasma TV, Wii gaming console, Lego's, games and books, this is great place for the kids.
The 2nd level has an oceanfront master bedroom (queen bed) flat screen TV. There is access to the large oceanfront covered deck, and a connecting private bath. Enjoy the Steam Shower or Jacuzzi bathtub.
2nd level also has an oceanfront junior master suite (also with access to the oceanfront deck), large guest bedroom, and big shared full bath. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds.
The 3rd floor has an entire wall of windows providing a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The great room has plenty of seating and a large screened plasma TV, stereo system and surround sound. The large dining table easily seats 8. A matching pub table and eat at counter provide plenty of additional seating. Dining service for 16 plus wide assortment of cooking utensils and pots and pans allow for large family style meals.
A fifth bedroom is located on the 3rd level and has a queen bed and a full bath.

Professionally cleaned and personally inspected after each guest's stay, “Brigadoon” is on the southern part of Kure Beach, just inside the Ft. Fisher Entrance. It is a one mile walk to the Fishing Pier and the Tastee Freeze. This 3 story, 3000 square foot home has 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths and private beach access.
Please no college, reunion or wedding groups. We do not rent for short nightly stays.
Places to Visit:
Some of the best catches along the Carolina Coast have been made at the Kure Beach Fishing Pier. After a morning on the beach, visit the North Carolina State Aquarium, the Carolina Beach State Park, or the Historic Fort Fisher Museum. Go 4-Wheeling on the north or south-end beaches of the Island, charter a fishing boat or take a dinner cruise from the Carolina Beach Boat Basin. Just off the Island are golf courses, water parks, and plenty of spas to enjoy. The charming riverfront city of Wilmington is only 20 minutes away, and offers wonderful shops, restaurants, a Farmer’S Market on Saturday, and cultural activities. Another great day trip is a ferry ride to Southport, a fun fishing village with fabulous shops and restaurants.

Why the Owner Chose Kure Beach
We live in the Raleigh area and looked at all the beaches in North Carolina before committing to Kure Beach. We love the small town atmosphere. From our house we can walk to the Kure Beach Fishing Pier and pick up an ice cream cone or toss in a fishing line. We also love the nice bike trails that lead to beautiful Ft. Fisher State Park. It also is great to have Wilmington so close when we want to shop or have more dining options.
The Unique Benefits at this House
My husband loves both the Jacuzzi Whirlpool and the steam shower. I love the covered decks because it can get awfully hot in North Carolina. It is wonderful to sit out on the decks and look for dolphins. Long strolls on the beach have enabled us to find ocean treasures in the form of sea shells and shark's teeth. We also like to surf fish and keep rods, bikes and sand toys for our guests use.

This is a photo of my youngest who was lucky enough to view one of the sea turtles coming to nest on Kure Beach in June of '08. He was thrilled. I live in Raleigh, NC with my husband. We have two sons in college and one in high school. To say they love to take friends to the beach house is an understatement. My husband & I go almost every weekend unless it is rented. I personally visit before each renter to insure the house is in tip top condition. We couldn't have picked a better place to buy that dreamed of beach house than Kure Beach.
