King Master Suite on the main floor has another fireplace for heat and ambiance, tiffany ceiling fan, bathroom with dual sinks, oversized soaking tub, shower w/seat, and french doors that open to the large deck.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Placid
Daisy Hill Lodge is on a large area of land that has been in my family for generations, and my siblings and I were fortunate enough to be able to build our own vacation homes on the property. I built mine while still single in my 30's, designed to be the perfect getaway for a young growing family, and with the intention of it being my retirement plan. I'm quite glad I did that in '06, because Daisy Hill Lodge is looking much more beautiful than my 401k these days!
The Unique Benefits at this House
I most enjoy sitting and reading on the deck with soft music on the outdoor speakers, a view of Whiteface, and a cup of coffee on a peaceful summer morning, or with a glass of wine and a fire going on the screen porch on a chilly fall evening. I enjoy soaking in my oversized master bath tub - now with my new baby. I enjoy the Hot Tub with my husband after a x-country ski on the adjacent jackrabbit trail and golf course, or a day at the mountain, or in the summer after a hike. I enjoy the feeling of being in a tree house - the peace and quiet. But, I also love hosting my brothers and sisters for not-so quiet cocktails and dinner, cooking up food and serving up drinks in the open kitchen/living/dining space that I designed for family fun and togetherness - keeping an eye on my nieces and nephews who are usually playing up in the loft or downstairs watching a movie. I enjoy leaving my husband to do chores : ) or tinkering at his workbench in the garage, while I take the 75 minute power walk into town and around Mirror Lake.

Originally from the suburbs of New York, I was born in Lake Placid, because I was born in the summer, and Lake Placid has been a summer destination for my family for generations. I lived in Burlington VT for many years, and have been living and working in Boston now for almost a decade (Beacon Hill). I would spend as much time as I possibly could in Lake Placid, as I grew up a huge lake and mountain girl. But, my husband's family has a vacation home on an island off the coast of Maine, so time needs to be split in the summer. And, our winter ski weekends seem harder to come by with a new baby in our lives. Hence the need and desire to share my home with others, and help them enjoy my beloved Lake Placid experience.
