Beautifully restored 15 room estate on 125 acres just 18 miles from Saratoga Springs(Saratoga Race Track, Saratoga Performing Arts), Arlington (13 miles) and Manchester, Vermont (30 miles). Bromley and Stratton ski areas are close as well, offering wonderful opportunities during the summer, fall foliage, and skiing season. New York City, Boston and Montreal are three hours away.
There are three large decks affording outstanding views of the surrounding hillsides. Two large ponds are just steps away providing fishing and swimming opportunities. Two spacious kitchens, as well as, an additional prep area make entertaining a breeze. Granite counters and stainless appliances meld with 150 year old beams and wide board flooring creating a lovely atmosphere for meal creation. The family room, additional two living rooms, office, and laundry room combined with the unique layout of the house and generous room size offer opportunities for multiple families to share the estate; yet have 3 separate and private living , cooking, and sleeping areas if desired. The three bathrooms are new and one has a walk in shower with seat.
A spacious 2 bedroom 2nd floor apartment sleeping 5 (about 1900 sq ft) with living room and full kitchen may be rented separately for $1250/week.

What a relaxing spot! The owner was very helpful and provided maps and suggestions of local spots to visit. The kitchen, prep room, and dining room spaces accommodated our large family group easily. With several decks and seating areas, there was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the outdoor areas. The views were spectacular! Thanks to the owner for sharing such a unique home.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

October 2010 our group, 4 couples, rented this lovely antique filled Saratoga Springs area home to spend time together, enjoy the spectacular fall foliage, and visit historic places in the area. The home and acreage did not disappoint. All our needs were met with this rental—lovely views of the changing colors (from inside the house and on the decks), a variety of quiet comfortable rooms for being together or reading alone, and well defined trails for walking on the property. We often gathered in the spacious kitchen and the dining room table easily seated our eight for dinner. The house was clean, the beds very comfortable, and the bathrooms beautifully updated. The owner made every effort to make our stay memorable. This location is country but close to Saratoga Springs. We took advantage of the many available country roads but were not an extreme distance from faster routes like the Interstate.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
