We enjoyed skiing at Appalachian Ski Mountain. Three of our girls needed to learn so it was perfect and so close by. Loved the house! Beautiful and a perfect location between Blowing Rock and Boone!

We enjoyed Hawksnest snow tubing, daily hikes off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, the playground in downtown Blowing Rock and just relaxing in the comfy house, reading and watching TV by the fire, opening Christmas presents and playing with lots of new toys! Homne was very cozy and warm and a great holiday getaway for the family to bond and ejoy each others company. Thank you!

This was our first time coming to the mountains and we couldn't have asked for a better house. The house had everything you could need and the view was exceptional! We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the beautiful sunsets!

We visited Appalachian Evergreens and bought 5 beautiful Christmas trees to take home to the coast for all of our families!It was so much fun we want to start making it a tradition! The cottage has very serene and spectacular views off the second story porch! Wonderful home, clean and cozy. We will be coming back!

The weather was very cold with lots of snow when we arrived. :-) We enjoyed sledding and playing in the snow, tubing at Hawks Nest, visiting main street and Kilwins Chocolates and visiting the Blowing Rock. We were disappointed that Tweetsie Railroad was closed though. The cabin was great; the views were beautfiul. Thank you for all of your help at the beginning of the week. We really enjoyed your home, thank you for sharing it with us. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The weather was cold and mostly sunny. Tubing at Sugar Mountain was lots of fun! We also enjoyed the shops and just relaxing at the cottage. It is a homey and cozy cottage, just right for our family. We hope to come in the Summer to enjoy other adventures in Boone and Blowing Rock!

We loved the cabin. It was quaint, warm and comfortable. The wood stove and gas stove were so much fun. Our son loved them both. Thank you for letting us stay in a great cottage. Wonderful views and a very warm, inviting home.

The weather was beautiful! The days were in the mid 60s-70s and nights cool. We enjoyed hiking on the Blue Ridge. We hiked the Rough Ridge Trail today and the views took your breath away because they were so spectacular! Hawks Nest zip line was fun for the kids too! We enjoyed cooking in and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets from the kitchen windows! Seeing the beauty of God's mountains puts things in proper perspective. The cottage was "enchanting" and the mountains amazing! Our hope is to return to experience every season. Thanks Jeff for helping us with our car trouble and for sharing such a wonderful place for us to enjoy!

We enjoyed hiking the trails, visiting all the great shops in downtown and some great steaks on the grill with wonderfuls drinks. Your place is gorgeous with stunning views! We came here to de-stress and enjoyed all of the wonderful sounds of nature and relaxing porches. We were wishing we did not have to leave.

We went hiking, had ice cream at Kilwins, mined gems at foggy mountain and shopping in Blowing Rock but the very best was the trails and lake at Moses Cone park. These are now our favorite running trails in the US! Your home is beautiful and very comfortable and clean! Thank you for sharing it with our family. We think you are so lucky to live here!

The weather was cool and sunny - Just perfect! Our favorite adventures were laying on the loft bed and seeing a herd of 11 deer pass behind the cabin! Discovering Glen Burney trail in Blowing Rock and the Julian Price 4.9 mile Boone trail and shopping in Blowing Rock - "It Rocks!"

The weather was COLD! But the fire kept us warm. Great View and loved the fireplace and all the wood. Enjoyed skiing and Crestwood SPA for the pregnant ladies. Great beginning to 2010!

We LOVED the SNOW!! We enjoyed SKIING, Shopping and playing in the snow! Also loved the puzzles! The snow was so much FUN! (something we don't see in FL!)

Awesome view! Sunsets were great - good call having fireplaces - really set the mood! Overall cute and fun cottage. Oh yeah - ditto on waking up to that view from the loft!

We had a wonderful visit and absolutely loved the cottage. It is located just between Boone and Blowing Rock, just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway! Waking up to gorgeous views of Grandfather mountain was the absolute best! We loved the peace and serenity of the neighborhood too. Lots of trees and greenery and very quiet. Hearing the Tweetsie Train whistle blowing faintly in the background, made my little girl giddy! Loved every moment in the Storybook Cottage... A million thanks for sharing your wonderful home!

Loved the cottage and waking up to the incredible view of Grandfather mountain from the sleeping loft. Thank you for keeping all of the trees around your cottage too. We loved the coolness and quiet they provided. The little chipmunk has been stuffing himself with birdseed and bread. Hope another family continues to spoil him!

Love the "pet chipmunk"! We saw him several days -- loved eating breakfast and dinner on the deck - hard to do in Florida - mosquitos would eat you first. GREAT CABIN!

We enjoyed staying in your lovely mountain home during our recent visit. I very much appreciated the spotless condition it was in and also your “homey” touches, which made it seem more like staying with friends than in a rental house! I especially loved the potted flowers on the deck! It was obvious that this place was well cared for and much loved!

Weather was PERFECT.. clear and warm! We enjoyed Grandfather Mountain and the animal habitat. Our favorite restaurant was the Mellow Mushroom in Blowing Rock during our stay. The cottage is PERFECT, please change nothing! Wonderful views and close vicinity of all attractions.

It's rainy today, but never fear, the fireplace is roaring! Had fun hiking, driving and in general, just enjoying the Fall colors. Really enjoyed Mast hardware store over at Valle Crucis. They had some old time picking out back that we sat and enjoyed with out RC colas. Daniel Boone Inn/Restaurant was fun but come hungry! Thank you for letting us share your mountain hideaway!

The weather was fabulous! Daytime 70s with chilly nights. We enjoyed the Art in the Park festival amd shopping in downtown Blowing Rock. Our favorite restaurants during our visit were Canyons and the Six Pence Pub. It's a beautiful cottage. Very cozy. Enjoyed the scenery! Love the Vermont stoves as well.
