Our family recently moved out of this house and we miss it terribly. The house has been beautifully renovated maintaining its architectural integrity. The house is pale green and utterly charming. It has long leaf pine floors, high ceilings, great windows, great light and is canopied by three huge pecan trees. The house has a great flow all around. If you feel like staying in one night this is a great house for entertaining. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans and the back patio is great for hanging out while a meal is being prepared. The elevated dining room looking out on the front yard is a fabulous place to eat a meal. There is an 18” Weber grill. The back patio is covered and at the top of the sloping yard is a “washers” court from which you can see the capitol. “Washers” is like a lazier mans horseshoes.
If location is your thing, this is your place. The house is perfectly situated in historic Clarksville in the heart of Austin. Take a beautiful mile long walk along the greenbelt to Town Lake and Barton Springs, or venture over one block to Pease Park, just six blocks East and you're at the State Capitol and venture just 12 blocks North to the UT stadium. Not to mention there are Romantic bistro's and hip bars, ice cream parlours and cafes all around. Lots of shopping too!
The following are just a handful of Austin’s renowned local businesses that you can walk to from the house in ten minutes or less.
