This gorgeous 4,000 square foot log home was hand peeled and built by a local craftsman. It is situated overlooking the 15th hole of one of the most beautiful and well known golf courses in British Columbia. It offers spectacular views of Mount Nelson. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the owners of this home are no less than a one minute walk to the golf course club house/winter Nordic centre and triple ski chair.
Eight guests can stay in this cozy residence. The master bedroom includes a handmade log queen bed with full ensuite that includes a claw tub and large glass enclosed shower. There is also a half bath on this level. The upstairs loft with television has a pull-out couch which sleeps two. This comfortable space is enclosed by two bedrooms, one on each side, with twin beds in each room. A three piece bathroom is situated on the upper level as well. On the lowest level walk out there are two bedrooms with one queen size bed. After a summer or winter activity one can relax and enjoy the steam shower in the fourth bathroom finished with slate tiles and heated floors. The floor to ceiling natural rock wood burning fireplace in the main living room provides a warm and inviting atmosphere on a cold winter or cool summer evening. The second fireplace is on the lower level and again made of natural rock.
The kitchen is extremely large, consisting of high end stainless steel appliances and black granite counter tops. The centre island has a built in wine fridge. There is a round custom made dining room table that seats eight people along with seating for three at the centre island.
Concrete decks border the entire upper and lower levels of the house, where company can enjoy spacious yet private seating on wicker furniture. There are two entrances onto the upper deck from the master bedroom and dining room.
This home is a wonderful place to enjoy many outdoor activities including golf, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing, snowshoeing and walking along the many pathways by the river. |
