Painted Porch Cottage is a year-round, garden style cottage in residential Lakeside, Michigan. The cottage sleeps up to six people with two bedrooms and one bathroom (one queen, two doubles) and acommodates two cars. Other amenities include an outdoor shower, charcoal BBQ, small screened porch and a patio with picnic table.
Fully furnished and equipped, the cottage is two short blocks from a private, sandy beach on Lake Michigan (many stairs downto beach). While a few conveniences are nearby - upscale home furnishings, upscale coffee & deli, and a restaurant - the hustle & bustle of downtown New Buffalo is five miles away. Antique shops are all up and down the main road running thru the area.
Children welcome! NO Pets. NO smoking. Minors must be accompanied by adults. Security deposit checks will be cashed. Beach towels not provided. The cottage is a duplexed house and the owners often stay in second unit.

Summer rentals are Fri-Fri (June 17 - Sept 2) .. $1,200/week.
Memorial Day & Labor Day Weekends: $185/night, 3 night minimum
Fall & Spring .. $150/night (2 night minimum).
Winter .......... $125/night (2 night minimum).
Maid Service prior to & after your stay is included in this fee
Taxes are included in this fee. Checks only, no credit cards accepted.
$500 Security deposit check will be cashed - not applied toward rent - refunded

We had a wonderful time at the Painted Porch Cottage. It's just as described, very clean, bright and comfortable. The five minute walk to the beach made our stay perfect, and the owners were very friendly and helpful! We would definitely come back!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My sister and I found this cottage to be the best we ever stayed in since coming to Michigan for about 10 years now. The pictures and description were accurate. Very clean and everything you could need was there. Nice walk to beautiful beach. Quiet at nite. Will return again for sure.
