  My husband, two young sons and I stayed at Painted Porch Cottage for a long weekend. It was wonderful. The cottage is just as it appears in the pictures. It was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. It was also nicely equipped with all the necessities (sugar, papter towels, laundry detergent). The washer and dryer were a nice bonus. The back (painted) porch is lovely. And, there is a nice picnic table in the backyard. The outdoor shower was very nice (with hot and cold running water) and helped to keep us from tracking sand into the house. The cottage is an easy walk to the beautiful beach. As the description says, the other half of the duplex is used by the owner. The owner was so nice, laid back, and easy to deal with in every way. Part of me wished that the cottage had wifi access; but, part of me was grateful it didn't. . . . Before we arrived at the cottage, I wondered why there were only two reviews on VRBO. After staying at the cottage, I can assure anyone who might have similar concerns, don't worry! It is awesome. My family hopes to return next year. Only this time, we hope to stay longer!

  We had a wonderful time at the Painted Porch Cottage. It's just as described, very clean, bright and comfortable. The five minute walk to the beach made our stay perfect, and the owners were very friendly and helpful! We would definitely come back!

  My sister and I found this cottage to be the best we ever stayed in since coming to Michigan for about 10 years now. The pictures and description were accurate. Very clean and everything you could need was there. Nice walk to beautiful beach. Quiet at nite. Will return again for sure.
