Wonderful location with wide expansive views of the water. We saw humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals, bald eagles and other wildlife. We took walks on the beach and the trails through the forest. The home was impeccable and so truly well stocked that your every need was taken care of. The pictures on the website do not do this home justice. We had a wonderful time and did not want to leave. We will most definitely be back.

This is the best appointed vacation rental house we have rented. The quality of the house and the amenities are top notch. The location is unbeatable – ever changing views, privacy and well maintained grounds. Far enough from town to avoid the crowds, yet an easy drive to town and the marinas, airport and parks. The kitchen is completely stocked with all the basics – just add your catch-of-the-day and some Alaskan Amber! It was immaculately clean and easy to maintain. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The sheets and towels were high quality. The terry robes in the bedrooms were an unexpected plus. The guys thought the only thing missing was a hot tub for a soak after a long day of fishing. Us ladies found the bathtub roomy and comfortable for a soak. The owners were friendly and helpful.

We have rented homes and condos in many places and Hidden Cove is by far at the top of the list! The home, the amenities, the property, the view and the owners are first class all the way. The owners have thought of everything as far as what you'd want in a vacation home (not just a rental) and provided all of it and then some. The breakfast items provided were yummy. The only constructive criticism would be for a shower rod/curtain be added to the upstairs bathroom as all four of us were shower people...although the claw foot tub looked very inviting. If you want first class fishing (we chartered with Ralph Cionflone and rented our own boat from Clover Pass Resort) and a gorgeous and comfortable place to stay, do consider Ketchikan and Hidden Cove Beach House. Ray and Kathy, you are great and your home reflects that!

This vacation home surpasses every expectation. Every need has been supplied and the entire property maintained in an immaculate condition. With its breathtaking waterfront view, distant mountains, a mystical woods complete with a resident eagle, and the beautiful and beautifully furnished house, this is a place of dreams. It has been a joy to stay here and we are very sorry to leave.

We have used VRBO in several locations over the past few years, and this is the property to which all others are compared by our family. This property makes you feel like your best friend moved to Alaska and left you the keys to stay at her home while she was way. Kathy has decorated and outfitted this home like it was the one she lived in on a daily basis, not the cast-off when combining households. The kitchen is fully stocked like a chef was cooking on a regular basis in the home, including a wide range of basic food staples. When Kathy says she has left supplies for breakfast, she really means it. While we truely enjoyed the sights of Ketchikan, it is the ambiance, scenic views, and quality time spent at this unique house that are our family's fondest memories. While my 5 year old thought flying with Carson Air to see the bears eat salmon feet away from the blind was neat, the memories she always talks about from this trip are sitting in the wooden swings with Grandma watching the tide come in, tide pooling with PaPa, and being the nightly smore chef while the rest of us enjoyed the setting sun on the water and the innumerable Alaskan stars. Every morning and evening you can sit in the window-filled great room and watch the cruise ships begining their sail into and out of the channel smuggly know that you have chosen the best way to visit Alaska.
Owner response:It's nice to know our efforts are appreciated, as Ray and I do consider the amenities at Hidden Cove Estate to be important. Thank-you to our valued guests!

Our family has greatly enjoyed staying at this property. Ray and Kathy have done an incredible job in making sure that it is a welcoming and comfortable experience. It was so nice to come into town and just come to their home, not having to worry about heading to the grocery store first. Their well stocked kitchen allowed for us to get settled and start relaxing before needing anything. The property was better than described. Our family, including 13 and 10 year-old children, much appreciated the availability of Ray and Kathy to answer questions regarding this area and activities. We had a great time and would highly recommend this property to others. Thanks, Ray and Kathy, for sharing your beautiful home with us! Dave, Pam and Family Billings, MT

This place sets the standard for all other vacation rentals. Immaculately kept, stocked for the guests, including toys shared by Mickey for our Tyler and Matthew. Every little detail is thought of and prepared for the guests - down to the kindling and firewood chopped for the firepit. Perfect for entertaing, enjoying solitude or keeping a family inbetween homes. Take all that and set it in a beautiful setting with eagles, whales and stunning vistas and this place cannot be beat. The owners are extremely responsive and nice and it was a heavenly reprieve for 10 days. Thank you Ray, Kathy and Mickey for a wonderful stay!

I have a group of fisherman who stay at Hidden Cove B&B yearly. The house, the location, the ammenities, the everything are top notch!! I would recommend staying here to anyone. The group of fisherman really enjoy staying here and book it a year in advance every year. We fish hard all day long and then they relax here all night. When my guys left this year on their way home I received a text "I have not been able to stop thinking about all the fun we had this year. You are a host not just a fishing guide we are looking forward to next year already. Your friend John." I have to give a lot of credit to The Hidden Cove for providing such a beautiful place to stay. Which helps my people enjoy their stay very much. Come stay with us and enjoy all the wonderful things Ketchikan AK has to offer. Oh yeah and "Forget the rest, fish with the BEST!!" Aurora Sportfishing.

I have had the chance to stay at Hidden Cove twice now. It has the most beautiful views! One morning I even woke up to a small pod of whales swimming by in the channel. The residence is spotless and has everything you need for the perfect relaxing vacation. The owners were extremely accomodating and had everything ready for us when we arrived. I can not wait to go back. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!!

We have used VRBO for rentals around the globe and the attention to detail here was unsurpassed. If you are traveling to Ketchikan and don't stay here you have missed a golden opportunity to enhance your vacation. We enjoyed a truly memorable visit made even better by the record setting weather with temps in the 80's and salmon fishing in flip flops and shorts (our guide said it was the second time in 30 years he'd worn shorts on the boat). We even caught fish!

We stayed at Hidden Cove in June of 2008. The home exceeded our expectations. Besides a wonderful location it feels brand new. We played with our children for hours on the shore, marvelling at the incredible tide change. There is plenty to do as well. Besides the town of Ketchikan there are museums, zip-line rides, fishing and hiking and pontoon planes to visit the fjords. There is a lot to do here and Hidden Cove makes a wonderful base. If we ever get lucky enough to return we will stay here again. The Lipinski's are wonderful as well as offering great advice to maximize your trip.

Alaska's Hidden Cove is the nicest Vacation Rental we have ever stayed in. This vacation rental has a custom built huge kitchen which flows right into the dining and living room areas and overlooks the channel where you can see all sorts of commercial and pleasure boats passing by. What is also amazing about this place is that it really is hidden. You have your own cove which you can access by kayak or small boat. The wildlife is also incredible. We saw eagles, seals, and a pod of orcas. A truly magnificent place to stay at while visiting Alaska! We recommended this place to friends who also stayed and had a great and memorable time.

Hidden Cove is a fabulous oceanfront getaway. My husband and I have been coming here from Florida for five years and never get enough of the beautiful sunsets; abundant eagles and wildlife; and private, tranquil scenery. Viewing the purple and orange starfish clinging to the rocks on our beach at low tide is also an unforgettable experience. This roomy, clean, well-decorated home has every amenity (and then some!). A final plus is dealing with Ray and Kathy (and adorable little son, Mickey), who are warm, friendly, and very conscientious. Just writing this makes me yearn to return--Soon, I hope!

I have had the pleasure of staying at Hidden Cove on at least 4 occasions. Each time has just been great. Some visits were work related, and I shared the house with several of my co-workers, and others were for total pleasure - fishing in September. I have stayed there in almost every season, and there is not a bad season to stay at Hidden Cove. Ray and Kathy have made this home so welcoming to all who visit. And every time I come back, they have done something new to make the home more comfortable for their guests. You can now bar-B-Q out on the covered deck - whether it is sun shining or raining. How great is that? And they have added Wi-Fi for those of us who just can’t quite “get away from it all”. They have provided every little touch to make this vacation rental a comfortable place to stay. The last time we stayed in the fall, my husband caught a silver salmon right off the beach area in front of the house. The house is right on the water, and watching the sunset, or ferries and other boats or float planes pass by is really fun. Sometimes even whales come by to say “hi”. And the eagles landing in the snag out front is also a wonderful sight.I highly suggest anyone deciding to stay at Hidden Cove and I know you will be writing to say you had a wonderful time.

My stay at AK's Hidden Cove was one of the most relaxing & enjoyable times I've ever had away from my home. The location is awesome & is truly a hidden cove with Humpback Whales frolicking, Sealions fishing, SEA Otters eating & Bald Eagles soaring right in front of your eyes. This "vacation rental" is a fine all inclusive home on a secluded private beach with wilderness all around you & civalization at the other end of its driveway. I could have easily lived here for months if not years. The owners / operators are some of the finest folks I've ever met on my travels around the globe & I'm certain everyone else that stays there will think so too. Enjoy, because Alaska & its Hidden Cove are truely fantastic!

Hidden Cove B&B is a magnificent place to stay. As owner of Aurora Sportfishing I have fished several groups of people from this rental. I have one large group of fisherman who fish with me every year. Before they leave they book for the following year in advance because they love it here so much. The house and all the beautiful things that make this place so nice, helps me keep my fisherman very happy. So come stay with us and see what Ketchikan AK has to offer. While staying here you have to go fishing with Aurora Sportfishing and let us show you one more part of the Alaskan Experience.
