Weekends on the lake offer many social activities and action while the weekdays are peaceful and relaxing. If you are looking for a good mix of relaxation and fun, this is a good vacation spot for you.
Go for a hike in the Smokey Mountains, attend a big time SEC college football game at the University of Tennessee, or spend a long relaxing day on the lake. We are offering our dream home on Fort Loudoun Lake for your family's enjoyment.
Our home is located 30 minutes to Knoxville and 20 minutes to both Maryville and Lenoir City. The beauty of the Smokey Mountain National Park is just 40 minutes away.
The home originally built in 1995 was luxuriously updated in 2006 during a major renovation. Enjoy the million dollar view down a long stretch of the main channel from any of the three floor levels. The sunrises and moon phases are amazing! Fine finishes and comfortable furnishings surround you.
On the main level, the gourmet kitchen has professional appliances and a great open layout for enjoying your favorite people in the most popular room in the house. Both the dining room and family room surround the kitchen giving the feel of one large room perfect for family time. The sunken family room is complete with a large attractive fireplace, built-in 50" plasma TV and complete audio video theatre equipment. The dining room off the kitchen has a clear view of the lake that will offer pleasing views while dining in.
Four of the bedrooms are on the upper level offering privacy away from the main level action. The master bedroom and bath is completely updated and offers beautiful tile, a Jacuzzi tub and a personal deck overlooking the lake. A game room, bar and 5th bedroom are on the lower level.
Fort Loudoun Lake is Knoxville's lake. It runs from downtown K-town and The University of Tennessee, throughout the city and ends at our door step. Many events occur on Fort Loudoun such as Rockin the Docks Memorial Day and over the 4th of July, and Boomsday over Labor Day weekend.
Neyland Stadium home of the Volunteers is one of the only stadiums in the country on the water and the big orange faithful come out in big numbers on game weekends. The constant flow of large boats cruising to the game is an amazing sight. Football tickets are available with advanced notice.
Enjoy a day on the lake fishing. Fort Loudoun Lake is known by the locals as a great fishing lake. Largemouth, Smallmouth, Stripe and White Bass are common and plentiful. White Bass are known for jumps in the summer months and big Stripes are caught below the dam. The kids are entertained by catching Bluegill from the dock.
When you are ready to take a break from the lake, go shopping at first class stores of Turkey Creek or Pigeon Forge. In the evenings, enjoy live music in Maryville or Knoxville. Spend a day in the Smokies enjoying our beautiful backdrop.
Your welcome to bring your outside dogs as they have plenty of room to run and will enjoy cooling off in the lake. Dogs are not allowed in the house but there is a protected area under the deck to keep them dry. As an option, there are two kennels within 10 minutes of the house.
