my wife and i just spent 3 days at the cottage and we were very happy with everything.....clean and well maintained.... it was far enough out of town to miss the morning fog but close enough to drive in for our morning latte! ..... very quiet and private location and helpful owners.. we are also VRBO owners and have stayed in several vrbo listed properties and this one was a do again no question.

We loved our stay in this comfortable cottage. Close to town, well kept home, private and surrounded by nature. We wanted complete peace, so no cell reception and no computer really worked for us...made for a perfect escape. We plan on visiting every year. Owners were responsive to our inquiries and had the cottage clean and ready for our arrival.

My stay at the cabin was perfect. The surrounding redwood, pine, and rhododendron forest is so peaceful and quiet - this was a truly restorative getaway. There is a nearby fire road that is ideal for hiking. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on.

I spent a relaxing 4 nights in this very comfortable cottage. The queen size bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed. The roast duck was delicious. It has a comfortable living area and having the redwoods right outside the windows is wonderful. The grounds are mystical with a feel of old growth. You can feel the trees watching you.I hope to rent this cottage again.

Mendocino Cottage is delightfully situated in the cool, quiet woods just east of town. The cottage is well-designed for such a location and is quite comfortable and peaceful. It is very well maintained and clean. It was easy to get to town and other points of interest nearby. We highly recommend it.

This was by far the best place for our dollar ever spent in the Mendocino area. We visit Mendocino every summer since our Honeymoon in Albion in 1992. Adorable, very clean & cozy, great location as we felt we were centrally located even if it was a slight bit off the beat and path from Hwy 1. That's what added to our experience, the hideaway feel of it all. Our two children wanted to live in the cottage full time. We absolutely loved it.We hope to get back someday soon. The owner was great to work with. Without a doubt recommend this place to anyone.
