Beautiful Well Located 2 BR Near Atwater Market and Downtown

Year Purchased: 2001

Why the Owner Chose Montreal

We love this area, it is vibrant and interesting. The atwater market is a great place to have a nice coffee and dessert on weekends and the canal area is a daily source of enjoyment in the summer.

The Unique Benefits at this Triplex

Proximity to downtown, the Atwater market, Metro (subway) and a lot of really good restaurants.

Owner's Map of Montreal

I always wanted to own a hotel and this about as close as it gets. My wife and I live next door and we enjoy meeting people from all over the world. I also believe that we offer a great value to travelers. We've made our apartments up as if we were renting them ourselves. We pride ourselves on being efficient and running a very well organized business and we try to make every aspect of your stay with us pleasant.

    • We stayed 2 weeks, and will stay again on our next trip to Montreal.Totally charming, immaculate, and everything you coould need. The location is quiet and yet there is a feeling of energy about.Close to markets, historical places(Lachine canal). John and Jane were very professional and warm hosts. We can't say enough good things about our experience. Read comments from previous guests, they are spot on. We will be back! Will and Judy

    • Our experience was very positive. The place was well furnished and modern with all of the comforts we could have asked for. Location close to parks (we stayed with kids)and to main routes to the sites of Montreal. Nice that owners are next door - were very helpful with questions about the area.

    • Everything about our two-week stay in this spacious apartment was perfect! It is spotlessly clean and quiet, and convenient for most anything you might want to do. We loved the mattress so much we are trying to buy one just like it! We also loved having the deck right off the kitchen. We used the grill almost nightly and ate all of our meals out there. Finally, the apartment is easy to find when driving from the US and parking is no problem. As self-proclaimed “foodies,” we especially enjoyed the location of the apartment. It offers a pleasant walking distance for a daily visit to the Atwater Market, one of the finest food markets anywhere. And on the way there is a huge restaurant supply house that is open to the public, and nearby are 2 supermarkets, a premiere liquor and wine store, and many great restaurants and cafes of all kinds. A five-minute walk in the other direction takes you to the Metro to get to any other food market or restaurant in the city. John and Jane are perfect hosts who can answer any questions you might have. In short, this is a perfectly delightful home for your adventures in Montreal! Jack and Nikki Cavanaugh 8/09

    • This five night, four day getaway was to celebrate my son's college graduation and my 50th birthday. We had a fabulous time in the city during the day and looked forward to going "home" to a comfortable place to relax and get a good night's sleep. The condo is close to the metro, grocery store and shops. John was very kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. There is so much we didn't get to see and do that I'm looking forward to another visit in the future and would definitely want to stay here again.

    • V cervenci 2009 jsme s dvema malymi detmi stravili velmi prijemny tyden u Jane a Johna.

    • We have travelled around the world on our trip this year (2009), and have stayed in many VRBO's. This Montreal apartment is one of the best that we have stayed in... it is a really nice place to stay. We only had a couple of days in Montreal but this apartment was ideal for us. It allowed us time to rest and recuperate. It is also quite close to the city and cabs are easy to get and it costs about $10 Can. There were four of us (2 Adults and 2 children) and the apartment had plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to do our own cooking. The DVD collection also came in handy. The supermarket was very close and had a very good selection of food and wine. John and Jane are extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I head back to Montreal ... which I would love to do in the near future.

    • I have stayed in many vacation rental places all around the world; this is one of the very best. In comparison to other places the description is accurate (and the photos of the place as at April 09 don’t show the apartment to its full potential). John and Jane are promptly responsive, friendly and helpful. They know the local area very well. They have put a lot of effort into the apartment, it is: scrupulously clean, beautifully bright when it’s sunny, warm when it’s cold, easily cooled when hot (the weather when I was in Montreal was seriously variable, one of the few things John and Jane couldn’t arrange for me), nicely furnished and decorated, supremely functional and secure. Everything in the kitchen works and is clean. The balcony has a nice view of St Henri and surrounds and a big BBQ – a lovely place to sit on a sunny morning or late into a northern evening. The metro is less than 5 minutes walk away and the system is fast and efficient. If you are looking for a place in Montreal and St Henri suits you, this is a great place to stay.

    • This is a wonderful place to stay in the city. It is bright, spacious and absolutely spotless. Very tastefully decorated, conveniently located and you can park right out front. Lots of good local restaurants and of course our favorite Atwater Market. Includes everything you might need and then some. Highly recommended, truly a home away from home. Quiet, too. You will like it.
