As a prelude to the much anticipated opening of the Bascom Arts Center, we invite you to experience this inspiring and rejuvenating retreat located at the head of the Greenway Trail and steps away from the Bascom.
This thoughtfully renovated 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin features a designer kitchen fitted with granite, walnut, stainless steel and every attention to detail. The open floor plan to the great room encourages great times with family, friends or that special someone.
A well appointed master suite is centered around an impressive double sided, tumbled marble fireplace... perfect for a cozy read in the five foot bay window, a relaxing jacuzzi bath, or a restful sleep on the queen sized bed donned with Egyptian cotton sheets... we say the most romantic suite in Highlands, despite the flat screen! The guest room wears red well with double bed, TV/DVD and is paired with its own bath containing a slate walk-in shower and art vanity.
Hillman spared no expense with Caribbean imported heart of pine floors and pickled spruce shiplap walls throughout, stacked stone fireplace and 37 inch flat panel TV in the living area. The vibe is light, open and airy yet the cabin is filled with eclectic furnishings and purposeful art.
While surrounded by all that the interior offers, you are beckoned outside to a peaceful playground. Sip your morning beverage at the cafe table on the deck while watching the birds and ever unfolding garden. Sit on the reflecting bench and listen to the soothing waters of the eternal fountain. Enjoy a Highlands afternoon or evening on the lower deck around the granite firepit.

Spent the month of July there. Had a fabulous, relaxing time! Love this cabin! I'm missing it bad :o( Wish I was there..........I miss having a beautiful hiking trail across from my front yard! :o) Great rental experience!!

We stayed at Cabin Bascom for our honeymoon and it was wonderful! We enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and the bedroom. The spa tub was great! Best part is how close it is to town!! We would recommend this cabin and would love to come back soon!

Your cabin is adorable! It is truly perfect. You have done a fantastic job of making it comfortable and including all of the amenities one might need while away from home. The location is great. I loved being able to walk to Bucks for coffee! I sincerely appreciated the trouble you took to retrieve my left/lost items from your cabin and to return them to me in Atlanta. Can't get that service every where! I look forward to staying at your cabin again. We just returned from Cabin Bascom - what a wonderful place! We have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years - from California to France - and this little cabin was one of our favorites! An incredible walk-to-town location, or hop on the Greenway Trail in front of the house! Everything is brand new, and beautiful! Perfect for two couples staying together, a small family, or a getaway from the kids! We will definitely be back!! Great Job Melissa and Lawanna!
