Two miles north is the Del Mar Racetrack, home of the Pacific Classic, and two miles south is Torrey Pines Golf Course, which recently hosted the US Open.
Del Mar is a beach community twenty miles north of the city of San Diego, home of the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea World, art and anthropology museums, Padres baseball, and amazingly diverse upscale dining and shopping. It is also only a short drive to the border and Mexico.

It boasts some of the nicest beaches and best surfing around, and its hard to beat Seagrove and Powerhouse park, breakfast on the beach at the Poseidon or Jake's, and perfect weather all year 'round. With Torrey Pines Golf Course and the Del Mar Race Track, there is always something to do here for everyone.
