Hear the sounds of the babbling brook that runs through this 1.5 acre property from most every room of this new 3,000 sf luxurious cabin. Look down on the stream from the deck as you eat breakfast, lunch, or BBQ dinner on the outdoor grille while rocking away on the rocking chairs or sit on the teak patio table with umbrella.
The kids will love exploring and playing in the stream that is safe to wade in. The Picturesque Payette River is a short walk for access to great fly-fishing, floating, and swimming. For wintertime activities, the tubing park and cross country skiing course is less than 1/2 mile and skiing at Brundage (8 miles) and Tamarack (12 miles) are nearby. There is a rails to trails type bicycle or walking path that is a nice 2 mile jaunt to town where dining, shopping, ice skating, and ice cream await you and your family. .
This house is brand new using green construction and most of the furnishings are new, tasteful, and well appointed... as a cabin in the mountains should be (we lived in Park City for 8 years). Huge exposed beams, granite counters, reclaimed pine wood floors, low VOC paint, over 1000 sf of decks & patios, radiant heated travertine floors in all 3 bathrooms, nice high thread count bedding and linens....you will never want to leave! The huge oak dining room table seats 10-12 with the inserts and there are place settings for 16. The home is a replica of a Tamarack Chalet that was designed to provide that storybook mountain cabin feel and look both inside and out. And don't forget the private 8-person "Hot Springs Spa" hot tub.

Why the Owner Chose McCall
We lived in old town Park City and after we left there to take a sabbatical to build our vacation/retirement home in Bocas Del Toro, Panama, we looked all over North America for the next up and coming great mountain town and McCall was definitely it! McCall is the most beautiful place in North America and we are very happy with our decision!!
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy the stream that flows through the property in the summer and the covered and uncovered decks that really bring the outside in. McCall is so laid back and friendly. Our kids love the freedom to explore in the creek and we love to hike down along the Payette River and the fly-fishing is awesome. The house is well appointed and luxurious yet very comfortable. Of course, the high-speed internet connection keeps us connected so we can continue to afford it!!

We are a family of four that loves the outdoors and spending time together. There is so much to do in Idaho that it is perfect for us. Kim and I are from the midwest, we lived in Park City for 8 years, in Panama on an island called Bocas Del Torooff the caribbean coast of Panama for 2 years, and then I was the Project Manager in charge of building the Village at Tamarack Resort. Parker and Lindsay are active in Tae Kwan Do and we all like to ride bikes, ski, fish, and everything outdoors.

Stayed for the month of Sept and it was just the right place. We could suggest a few small things that could improve the property but overall it was great. The deck was huge and the location was just right. Not too far from town but felt like it was out in the woods. If you are thinking about coming to this area, this is the best place for the money.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The house is really nice. Lots of room to do whatever you want. The only problem was the carpenter ants eating through the roof and food. They were constantly falling from the ceiling onto us and throughout the kitchen. Other than that issue, I'd go back to this house in the future.
Owner response:This guest did report the carpenter ants and as soon as they checked out the exterminator was there to treat the place. I guarantee that you will not find a carpenter ant anywhere in that house now.
