We rented the house during the week of March11th for our spring break ski trip. We found the house to be very comfortable and well represented by the photos and description on the site. The owners were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We did not have a car and found it very easy to get around downtown and up to the mountain with a 7 year old in tow. All in all a very good trip and would rent again when (if) we make it back to town.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, sightseeing.

Even though it was "shoulder season" (not a ton going on in town) and a some iffy weather (rain and snow showers) my family and I really enjoyed staying in this home. First, it's in Crested Butte... perhaps one of the last REAL mountain towns in Colorado. Second, it's 2 blocks off of Elk Avenue, the commercial center of this small town so everything is convenient. As for the home itself, it's the front half of a duplex with comfortable furnishing throughout... the bedding was nice, the family/living room a great place to lounge around and the kitchen and bathrooms in great working order. The owners were very responsive to initial inquiries and open to providing assistance if needed. It's definitely a place we'll keep in mind if, no, when, we return to Crested Butte.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Stayed for a week in July 2012 with another friend couple. Lovely, fresh spacious house, with updated furniture, very comfortable, homy and a very nice kitchen. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the ground level even has a guest bathroom. The house is located right in downtown Crested Butte with easy access to local, beautiful hiking trails and great restaurants, as well as grocery stores, coffee shops and a wonderful farmers market. The owners were friendly, very helpful and always available for questions. In the living room they have a basket especially for pets, with blankets and doggie bags and two large dog bowls :) All in all we had a very pleasant stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Sweet home! Clean design and nice open layout. The owners put in a lot of stuff to make it child-friendly (plugs in sockets, etc.). Comfy beds and so lovely to be so close to the center of town. We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family (mom, dad, 2 kids, 2 grandparents) stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute! The house was in perfect condition and very well equipped with lots of space for everyone. We enjoyed spending time on the outside deck and stargazing from the balcony. The location was ideal for biking or walking around any part of Crested Butte, and the bus stopped very close to the house to take us to/from Mount Crested Butte. We loved bringing some bikes and renting others, biking the trails and the downtown streets. We will definitely come back and stay in this house again--it was very comfortable and an exceptional value.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Why the Owner Chose Crested Butte:
We stumbled across Crested Butte a few years ago during the wildflower season. We came back for the skiing, and then for the mountain-biking climbing, and now we are hooked. So is our dog. He enjoys the hiking and cross-country skiing.
