Historic "Arts & Crafts" cottage near the Georgian coastal town of Lymington. Reputedly designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1908, and completely restored in Spring 2008.
Wonderful location beside Upper Pennington Common. Close to Lymington and the coast but also within the New Forest National Park. In a group of six semi-detached cottages arranged around lovely sunny yew-hedged gardens. Listed by the County as one of the "Treasures of Hampshire".
The cottage was restored with traditional materials. Antique furniture is combined with modern creature comforts, including heating in the quarry-tile floors of the bathroom and rear lobby, and central heating, to supplement the open fires in the lounge and dining room. The detached garage was converted to provide a large and bright hobbies/games room, with its own WC. |
