Charming 14th century Property is located on the external walls of the ancient hamlet of Strove, approx. 2 km from the walled castle of Monteriggioni in the Chianti region.
The hamlet of Strove offers a restaurant, a Public telephone box, a basic food shop and the town of Colle di Val d'Elsa with all shops, facilities and 6-hole golf course is at approx 6 km. Access to the Siena-Florence freeway is at approximately 6 km on the way to go to Monteriggioni. The location is even ideal for extended day trips to Rome ( approx. 3 hours drive ) and Venice (approx. 4 hours drive ).
The Property was recently totally renovated and is bordered on either side by other lived in buildings, all set into the hamlet walls and this could be a great occasion to get in touch with local Tuscan people.
The Property has two faces, one opens onto the hamlet little square and the other onto the countryside with a spectacular view on the Chianti Classico hills, on the vineyards and silver olive trees that surround the large Property and agricultural estate where the owners produce a Chianti red wine and an Extra-Virgin Olive Oil.
There is a circular road that runs around the outer perimeter of the hamlet and it is quiet because it is only used by hamlet inhabitants. Across this road and facing the house there is a spacious 5,000 sq meter garden with parking space and private 7x14 meter swimming-pool.
Olive groves, vineyards and fields surround the garden with views spacing from Monteriggioni to San Gimignano and the Chianti hills.
In the garden there is a barbecue with a table ideal for use in the summer evenings and a little house part occupied by gardener equipment for maintenance and part used as a dressing room with a bathroom for guests use during the period of pool opening. Across from the garden and the small path is a raised garden-terrace overlooking the larger garden below.
From the terrace, up a few steps, is the house entrance to the living-dining room with satellite TV, DVD Player, CD Player together with a fully equipped kitchen.
From here a staircase leading to the 1st floor that gives access to the 4 bedrooms one of them with a balcony : 2 with large beds ( two single mattresses in one frame ) and 2 twin-bedded, everyone with en-suite bathroom with shower stall.
On this floor there are also a formal living room with large monumental fireplace, the laundry room with washer, a room for the maid use only and a private kitchen for the catering use only.
From this floor there is a door that open onto an external flight of stairs that leads down to the hamlet little square.
The house is elegantly furnished with beautiful antique pieces and very comfortable. The windows are fitted with mosquito screens.
The owners live in a Villa's wing with a separate entrance.
