Maui is wonderful. We have been many times. We were very disappointed with this condo unit . The only upgrades we saw were the laminate floors. Even then the owners still used the old floor moldings and didn't put in new ones. Everything but the laminate floors is original including the moldy smelling towels, and t towels . The bathroom is original, nothing has been upgraded, and the same as the kitchen . My husband said showering in the tiny shower was like showering in a camping trailer . We have used vrbo many times and know we get what we pay for but this condo is not even close to being in the Same league as many others in the Maui vista. It is easy to se that the owners haven't put any money into it.

Owner response: It's hard to believe anyone would say we don't put any money into our unit. This year alone we installed new bamboo flooring, bought a new washer/dryer, and new mattress/boxspring. Each time we visit we make some upgrades including: new stove, dishwasher, disposal, refrig, TV, VCR, DVD player etc...have all been replaced since we bought the condo. We've owned it for 7 yrs now, and almost everyone loves it. Unfortunately this guest didn't. Hopefully she will find better baseboard at the next condo she rents. Am confused about "shiek". Doesn't appear to be a word. Was she trying to say "sheik" as in arabique, or "chic" as in french couture? Oh well, we don't have either of those in our Maui condo :)

This condo was an excellent choice for us. 1 Bdrm 1 Bath, nicely decorated with an Island feel. Everything we needed was there from bedding and towels to everything you could want in the kitchen. Books, snorkel gear and boogie boards, tennis equipment, wine glasses and a corkscrew and much more. It was very comfortable, inclusive and being an end unit with a nice lanai, it also felt secluded. The grounds are well cared for including 3 swimming pools and tennis courts. The location is ideal, right across the street from a great beach with soft sand and lots of space. Walking distance to some great shopping and a whole lot of restaurants (try the Tiki Lounge)as well as grocery store and service stations nearby. This was the ideal condo for my husband and I on a relaxing getaway. The only drawback being that our stay was too short.

This condo is ideal for 2 to 4 people. I traveled with my 3 teens and we were all comfortable sharing the bedroom and the sofa bed. Kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary cooking utensils and pots and pans. Everything was perfectly clean and well decorated. The unit itself is easy to find and in an ideal location within the complex...the end spot, private and you can still view the pool and tennis court. The ocean is across the street, so you can take a nice walk to get to it, or drive just outside the complex to several easy parking areas. Very convenient. Everyone was extremely friendly. The smoking area out in the parking lot was nice for one of my guests and became somewhat of a social gathering for people! Nice chairs, and kept clean. I highly recommend this for a couple, or 4 people who don't mind sharing two beds.

We really had a great time in this condo. It's in a great location... close to beaches, shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed all the tennis available on courts that are in great shape. Tennis clinics are available many days and there are residents that run drop-in tennis that were happy to have us join them. There are really nice pools and the grounds were beautiful and were maintained. It was a very relaxing place to stay and very quiet.

This condo unit makes for a perfect holiday in Maui. Many plus factors contribute for making this an excellent choice for a Maui vacation. Location is great, i.e., beach is just across the road from the condo, several eating options available nearby, a 24 hour supermarket is about 10-15 minute walk. It is quiet and safe in the compound. There is a bus stop on the next block if you wish to take the public transport. We found the unit to be exactly as depicted in the pictures. It was a pleasant surprise to find amenities like soap and other toiletries, staple pantry items like cooking oil, salt and pepper. It has everything you would need in a kitchen and you can possibly cook a feast or bake a birthday cake with all the available implements. We found the unit to be clean and well maintained. The shower area might be a little tight for someone who is bigger but since we are all of small built, it wasn't an issue for us. The bed was pretty comfortable and having an airconditioner in both living room and bedroom is nice especially if you've been out all day on the beach. It maybe difficult to sleep comfortably on the sofa bed for an extended period of time. But, I guess that's true for all other sofa beds. It will be helpful if there is an exhaust fan in the kitchen so the smell of food doesn't linger, Dealing with Tricia was excellent. She answers questions promptly and is very easy to talk to. For someone like us who are coming from miles away, it is always very reassuring to be able to have questions answered promptly. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I will not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

We had a great stay and loved the proximity to the pool and tennis courts. The complex is across the street from the beach, so we could easily cross over to watch the sunset or swim. But quiet--no street noise. Easy parking. We appreciated the beach accessories, tennis rackets and balls available and well-equipped kitchen. Highly recommend.

Renting this condo was an easy, enjoyable experience from start to finish. The owner communicated clearly, and worked diligently to accommodate our early arrival. It was neat and tidy, and decorated in a subdued island theme. The first-floor location was nice, as was the neighbor's cat, who made it a point to visit the lanai each day. Highly recommended!

We stayed for a week in this condo. We have stayed in several complexes in Maui over the years and this one may be our favorite. The complex is well kept, is quiet, has plenty of parking, and is in a great location in Kihei. And this condo was in the perfect location: tucked away in a corner on the main floor, close to the beach, the pool, close to everything! Grocery stores and restaurants are a short walk away. WiFi worked great and was greatly appreciated. So was the large lanai and comfortable patio set. The condo is well equipped and has a new washer/dryer. And there are great cross breezes to keep the place cool. We would definitely recommend it to others and hope to stay here again!

We loved our stay at Maui Vista! This condo has the best location in Kihei - just steps away from the pool, tennis and a great beach, and is strolling distance to shops and restaurants. The complex is beautifully landscaped and feels like an upscale resort; we also enjoyed meeting the friendly neighbor/owners. It was great having a washer/dryer in the unit and WiFi too - along with the beach and tennis gear. We will definitely be back! If you're looking for value for your dollar, this is the condo for you. The photos and description given by Tricia are accurate. This clean condo is very conveniently located in terms of access to the pool, the on-site barbecues, the tennis court, the path to the beach, shops, Foodland and restaurants. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked with a full sized fridge, cookware, dishes, and utensils, and the combination of louvered windows and the two ceiling fans makes using the air conditioner unnecessary. Also, there are plenty of useful items for the beach: towels, beach chairs, mats, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, water noodles, and a small picnic cooler. There are also tennis rackets. Being in the corner unit is great since nobody needs to walk past your lanai – it’s very private. Tricia was always quick to get back to us via email whenever we had questions, both before and during our stay.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children (boys aged 5 and 8 years) really enjoyed our stay. The condo was roomier than a hotel room because of the living room so the adults had space and the kids too. We really loved being on the ground floor - excellent proximity to the car and to the building's pool. The patio was enjoyable, along with the lush grass and greenery. When we stayed, my brother's family rented a condo in Maui Vista but they were on the 4th floor of Building 3. It had a lovely view of the ocean and mountains but it was EXTREMELY hot. Our ground floor condo was so comfortable and I really enjoyed the Tradewinds that blew through. The best beach in Kihei is right across the street from Maui Vista. It's an easy 2 minute walk. The beach was beautifully set - better than the famed Makena in my opinion.

We stayed in this condo during our honeymoon at Maui. It had everything we needed for the stay. The condo also had a great patio for enjoying our breakfast and a short distance to the beach. Really short. And with the equipment that was availeble for us in the condo we could also go snorkeling or play tennis.

We spent 10 wonderful days in Kihei and this very comfortable condo "home away from home" served as our base. The location is excellent - convenient access to the best beaches that you would want to relax at, snorkel, etc. Restaurants and other shopping is convenient. The condo complex is inviting with amenities, including pool, barbecue, even a daily welcome and information sharing session for visitors. The patio area is private and relaxing. Thanks Tricia, we look forward to returning to Maui soon!

As parents of 5 we don't have much opportunity to vacation...without the kids...actually never have. We were nervous from the start...we wanted this to be perfect...and it was! We had the best time ever in Maui this year. From the beginning of the planning to the end everything was perfect. We rented a beautiful, convenient, reasonably priced condo from Tricia Chiariello, in Kihei directly across from Charley Young Beach via www.gonetomaui.com. Tricia made everything so simple from the start. We had everything we needed in the condo, cooking utensils, beach gear, linens, she even provided suntan lotion and shampoo! We were especially thrilled with the convenience of being able to walk across the street and see the sunset everynight, beachside - we didn't miss one! It was fabulous and we will no doubt go back to Maui again. I will definetly contact Tricia first!

The Kihei small boat dock is 3 minutes away so for those early morning boat dives (5:45am!) this is a definite plus. The back porch has a hose to rise off your equipment plus the unit has a washer/dryer. Two boogie boards, beach chairs/umbrella, bamboo mats, cooler, and snorkle equipment were provided for days on the beach. One beach park is pretty much across the street and two more are very close by. Shops and restaurants are close by and it's easy access to the highway.

Stayed in this condo Mar 2011 and found the location great. Fantastic beach, across the street minutes away. They have everything you need for the beach..chairs, umbrellas, small cooler, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. The property was very clean and cool inside with just the overhead fans on and the screened windows open. You could walk to groceries, bars, stores and restaurants. Overall a perfect location and will look forward to renting this unit again on our next visit to Maui. Tricia and Ralph were very easy to deal with and answered any questions we had. Also provided some useful information on some places to see and things to do.

Our recent stay in this unit was wonderful. The unit was very clean and, being on the end of the building, had extra privacy without blocking out any of the scenery. The listing's descriptions and photos are accurate and give one a good idea of the condo's fine points. Even though it is close to a fabulous beach and close to many shops and restaurants, you still have alot of quiet privacy. It is also close to many water activities, e.g., scuba diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc., and several nice golf courses are only a short drive away. We would like to stay there again.

Tricia and Ralph's condo was a good home base for my visit. It's comfortable and nicely decorated, and has everything you would want, and a few things you might not expect, i.e snorkel gear, tennis racket, beach towels and chairs, as well as 2 books about Maui (very helpful). Unlike many of the condos, this one's patio was private. The condo is located across from a nice beach, and not far from restaurants and shops, including a supermarket. I loved be able to walk to some places, especially the beach. It's also easy to get to main roads in order to visit the rest of the island. There's a tourist info kiosk right near the condo office, usually staffed by someone who can book trips, help with directions, and answer all sorts of questions. All in all, a very good place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to people.

My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and had a great time. The condo is located just a few minutes walk from a very nice sunbathing and swimming beach (and even some snorkeling) and just a few minutes more (eight minutes walk total, I think) from the beginner surfing beach. The condo itself has a new wood floor in the living room, flatscreen TV, air conditioning, and WiFi Internet at good DSL speeds. The kitchen has everything that you need and we cooked a great Thanksgiving dinner, though the kitchen is a little tight with two people running around in it. Tricia did a great job e-mailing us quickly with all the condo information. We'll definitely be back there the next time we visit Maui.

Our condo was great and exactly as described! It had everything we needed: fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, etc.), and most importantly....it was immaculate. The unit is on the ground floor, at the end of the building so is has a larger lanai surrounded by beautiful landscaping and was very private. A short distance away was one of the three swimming pools, which was never crowded. And around the corner were three BBQ's - we had some great cookouts!! I've stayed in other areas of Maui but think Kiehei is the best. Great beaches within walking distance and just a short drive away are beaches in Wailea and Makena - for a little variety! Maui Vista is centrally located; with many nearby restaurants and shops. In the afternoons the trade winds were refreshing and the evenings were quiet with a cool ocean breeze. Mahalo to the owners who provided a wonderful tropical retreat. We loved the condo and are already planning to return!

The owner's directions to the condo from the airport were spot-on, even though it was dark by the time we landed and we had to get used to driving on the 'other' side of the road! Location at Kihei was very good for accessing the island's activities. Facilities at the condo were as depicted in photos, well maintained and clean. Bed comfortable and kitchen well-appointed. Dishwasher very easy to use and washer/dryer much appreciated. Parking was offstreet only a few steps to the front door. We are interested in activities, so can recommend sunrise at Haleakala summit, hiking into the 'crater' to explore cinder cones, the road to Hana and beyond, hiking to the 400 ft waterfall just inside the Volcano Park boundary past Hana and the 7 Sacred pools, snorkelling at Molokini Crater and swimming with turtles at Turtletown. We loved Big Beach to the south of Kihei, as well as the recent lava flows close to that point also. Foodland supermarket has a very good range of deli sandwiches (our picnic lunches) and dinner requirements. We ate out twice. Would recommend this property. Thanks for having us!

From first contact with the owners everything was a positive experience, the listing was very accurate and there were no surprises. We were just on our way to the front door when the cleaner (owners brother) was exiting the building so that was perfect timing on our part. The property was clean and well maintained and the photos accurately reflected the condo and amenities. The owner and her brother went the extra mile in helping us with information on where to go and what to see. The condo was comfortable, especially the bed. We slept with the bedroom window open, the trade winds and over head fan made for a cozy sleep. It was nice to get up to the sound of birds singing and we enjoyed having our morning coffee and meals out on the Lani which is very close to the pool. The barbecues were clean and worked well when we used them and it was fun to meet other people who were also barbecuing. The condo was well equipped with towels, cookware and utensils. Everything you need was there. It was good to see beach and sport equipment in the closet, tennis rackets, beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, boogie boards and snorkel gear. I would highly recommend this place as it is just 3 min walk from Charlie Young Beach and it is very close to everything else, shopping, groceries dinner out etc. A hi-light for us was going on a cruise aboard the quicksilver, 2 deck catamaran that took us snorkeling to Molokini and then to Turtle Town. The crew take very good care of you and have lifeguards in the water while you snorkel. After Lunch we cruised by some celebrity homes and saw part of South Kehei like Makena beach and then did some whale watching. Overall we were very happy with the accommodations and would recommend this place to family and friends.

My daughters and I stayed in this lovely, breezy, clean condo from March 15-25, 2010. Not long enough! The quiet location is fabulous, with the pool and tennis courts visible from the spacious lanai. Perhaps one of the best features is the proximity to the Charley Young Beach (it was the best beach we came across). Great proximity to market shopping and a beautiful park for early morning walks. We want to go back really soon.

We stayed at Maui Vista 2112 from 3/3 to 3/11 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tricia and her husband are very responsive and we chose them because they were the first to respond to our request for condo info on 7/4/2009. Their condo is a wonderfully decorated one bedroom close to everything. The pool is just steps away and the beach is right across the street, Charlie Young. There is great snorkeling available on the reef just to the right of Charley Young beach. We also found that all major attractions are either in Kihei or 30 minutes away in Kahului or Lahaini. You can walk to the coffee house in the morning, work out at Valley Isle Fitness, or shop at the local market. Kihei is family oriented and not overly commercial. We would recommend stopping at either Kmart or Wal-Mart to purchase your non-perishables and frozen foods. The grocery stores on Maui are pricy since everything is imported. Safeway and Foodland have weekly specials and also offer discount cards, just ask at the customer service desk. We also found the Ono fish one of the best on the island and Paia Fish Market is an inexpensive (2 adults for under $30) local fish house that offers a local flair, great food, without all the amenities. If you want ambience, go to Mama's Fish House, also in Paia, but expect to spend well over $100 for 2 adults for dinner. The Feast at Lele is a Polynesian Luau that offers 4 courses of different cuisines accompanied by the authentic dance from each island (Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, and Samoa). The Blue Water Rafting is the best way to see the whales, turtles, dolphins and go snorkeling. The 5 hour excursion takes you to KANAIO/ MOLOKINI to see the volcano caves and the best snorkeling in crystal blue waters. Maui Vista is close to all these wonderful attractions and you will love your stay in condo 2112 on the 1st floor! No stairs! No elevators! You are just steps away from EVERYTHING!

Hi Tricia, I had a great time in Maui and your condo was excellent, clean, comfortable and very quiet. The other thing was that it was close to all the malls. We did not get to use the pool but we walked around the grounds and saw that everything was very clean and the people were very friendly. If I should every go back to Maui I would definitely give you a call to use your condo again. Thanks Clara

We stayed in #2112 for 9 nights during Feb and the weather was perfect. The unit is convenient within the complex, quiet and private and within Kihei for restaurants, shops and the beach. It's also centrally located for golfing in the Valley.

My wife and I stayed in Maui Vista June 18-25 2008. Maui Vista is a natural for us as my folks used to own the same condo we rented and my brother lives next door. Ralph and Tricia were a treat to work with and nothing was overlooked. The condo was clean and complete with all amenities needed for a great stay. The location is perfect for us; with pool, tennis courts, and barbeque just a few steps away. All the people were wonderful and we look forward to our next stay.

This unit is very well equiped, clean, and located in a private and quite location in Building 2. Great place for a relaxing stay burt within walking distance of all the action. The owners are very accomodating and they make the rental process very easy and quick without hassles. It's the place to stay for a great rate.

We stayed at 2112 Maui Vista February 14th to March 7th, 2009. The suite was great. We had stayed at Maui Vista in a different suite in 2008 and thought we would try this one. We were very happy with 2112. It's location is very good being on the ground floor and at the end of the building. The end that it is at provides extra privacy. Being on the ground floor means a larger lanai, this came in handy when we had relatives over for supper. The toys and beach chairs were very useful for trips to the beach. Charley Young Beach is just a short walk away and we spent most days there. We did day trips to Big Beach and Makena Beach. The food prices at Costco are quite good (a bit of a drive). Remember to get a Makai discount card for Foodland (a short walk away). The sunrise over Haleakala is worth the early morning drive, it can be quite cool at 11,000 feet before sunrise so go prepared (from a Canadian). It was a great vacation, hope to be back in 2011. Thank you for a wonderful condo.

Our stay was in early December 2008 and was one of the best stays we have had in Maui. The condo is a corner down stairs unit and is very private and quite. The day we arrived the weather was warmer than usual so we used the extra AC unit in the bedroom (most rental units don’t have AC in the bedroom) and that allowed us to get a good nights sleep. Being in building 2 puts us far enough from the street so the traffic noise is not noticeable. Beach is only a 2 minute walk from the condo and stores and eateries are within walking distance of the condo also. We used the gas BBQ’s in the common area to prepare dinner several nights which beats eating out all the time. I think you can expect more for the price.

We stayed in late May 2009. It was quite and right across from the beach. It was just far enough south that the waters were not impacted by the surgar plantations and we were centrally located to everything in Maui. We would either stay in close or we could drive to one end or the other. Location was great. It had beach supplies (chairs, snorkel gear, mats, boogie board) so take a look before you run off and buy stuff you don't need to. Overall a great mid range condo and excellent value.

We visited Maui for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed this apartment. It was extremely convenient for our trips to beaches and sunset walks, as well as snorkeling, kayaking, traveling up Haleakela for more hiking and sightseeing, and even into Kahalui. The bottom floor provide quick and easy access and was quite private. We also appreciated having the fully equipped kitchen and a very well kept place. We'll be back! MAHALO!!
