This completely renovated 1920’s Lake Rabun lake house offers the charm of yesteryear with the luxury and convenience of today… The four bedroom, four and a half bath main house sleeps ten plus, the dining room table seats over ten, while the ample off-street parking can accommodate up to ten cars – perfect for a large family or gathering. Two living rooms with large stone fireplaces, porches overlooking the lake, and gourmet kitchen complete with Sub-Zero refrigerator, Viking stove and granite countertops make this house perfect for entertaining. Linens, books, puzzles, ping-pong, and a well-equipped kitchen are provided – just add food, drinks, and a bathing suit!
A quaint small cabin with half bath is located twenty feet from the back door – ideal for children who want to “camp out” within earshot. The master shower features the original stone chimney as one of its walls, and the claw-footed tub offers a beautiful view of the lake.
Just steps away from the main house, and across a quiet paved road, is the boathouse, with the largest deck on the big basin, and also the best view. Part of the deck is roofed, for welcome shade, and includes a bar area with refrigerator and dry sink. Below the deck is a large storage room, and two boat slips, ready for easy rental and storage of jet ski and/or boat, or bring your own and launch from one of two boat ramps with easy access. So you can be in the center of the lake action on the sunny deck, or cool down in the quiet of the (central air!) main house –the choice is yours!
All we ask is that you enjoy yourself and try to leave the house a little nicer than you found it.
