Costa Grande is located in the Coronado area, on the Gorgona beach. The Coronado and Gorgona beaches are next to each other. Our Gorgona beach has the local fish cooperative, where you can buy great, fresh fish for $.75 to $2 per pound, take a swim and fix the fish in our large kitchen and BBQ. We have both an adult and child's swimming pool.
We can provide or arrange for transportation from the airport.
We can add the use of our mountain retreat to your package, if you would like.
The owners and visitors are from all over the world, with several local Panamanian families, much like the colorful town of Gorgona where it is located. This is not a tourist only community!
Our Casita has some wonderful local art, including a full wall mural featuring water and colorful birds.
Our unit has a larger living room, kitchen and terrazzo than the other available rentals in the complex. You will love cooking the fish you buy at the local fish co-op on the gas Bar-B-Que on the terrazzo.
We have taken great care to create adequate storage spaces in the furniture. We live in this unit 6 months each year, so it is equipped with everything one would need.
Each room has both a split A/C unit and a ceiling fan for complete comfort.

- The Gorgona fish co-op is a short walk down the beach. They have fresh, cheap fish almost every day, except Holidays. Our beach is great for fishing, boogie boarding and swimming. For more challenging surfing walk or drive up the beach about one mile to Malibu. We are a 10 minute walk to two good restaurants. We are a 10 minute drive to a major shopping area in Coronado.

Why the Owner Chose Gorgona
Panama has perfect weather and choices of climates, friendly people, good economics, an interesting culture, including an interesting international city, and is reasonably close to the US for family and friends to visit.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
With this much sun one cannot have a depressed thought. Living outdoors will cause you to become more fit: tan and thinnner! Panama has many expat residents and visitors. You will meet many people with adventures similar to yours. There is a great social life here. We are fully furnished, including boogie boards!

We are a young retired couple (66), who have live in Seattle during the sunny months so that we can see our 5 grandchildren. We love to travel. We recently travelled to Norway, Sweden and France. Last year we did exchanges in Australia. John swims a mile or so each day in the Ocean, when in Panama, and loves to play water polo. Jayne loves to walk on the beach.

We have stayed at the Mango Villa in Costa Grande several times over the last 5 years. It has become to feel like home away from home and we highly recommend it to all looking for a beach get away in Panama. For our family, many of the modern amenities contributed to our comfort during our long stay; The air conditioners in each room, the wi-fi for our laptops and the fully appointed kitchen and living/dining area were set up for a relaxing stay. The pool was a few short steps away and looked right out onto the beach. Each bedroom had storage shelves under the beds, so there was ample space for our 'stuff'. And speaking of modern amenities, the grocery store and restaurants were about 10 minutes away. There was even an organic grocery store with gluten free items in the new mall area. After a daily walk on the beach (one block away), we'd settle in and enjoy our fresh fish (fishing village right on the beach) and Panama produce. We will be back!
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.
