Upscale Custom Home ~ Long Distance Views ~ Secluded & Private
- Minimum stay:Contact owner
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Enjoy cool, crisp mornings and warm glowing sunsets from your rocker on the expansive deck overlooking the Pisgah Mountain Range ... Summer is here, and the flower's are blooming, the trees are lush and green, and the gardens are planted. You can enjoy white squirrels and beautiful birds, right from the deck. Rhododendrons and Mountain laurel are blooming and everything is enjoying the warmer weather.
There is a commanding long distance view of 8 mountain ranges and clear views of the surrounding area. Bring a light sweater and enjoy our crisp mornings and warm afternoons here in the mountains. Even watch the sunset from the deck, before you settle in for the evening.
We are just west of Historic Downtown Hendersonville. Our home is very private, located on the side of a mountain, surrounded by thick rhododendron and mountain laurel. When you stay with us, you are welcome to pick from our garden! (When in season.) And in July and August, there are plenty of blackberries to gather for a pie or cobbler.
'Pisgah View' is comfortably furnished and well-appointed ~ including lush 100% cotton linens and towels, fully functioning upscale kitchen, wood-burning fireplace on the main upper level and gas log stove in the lower level. There is Dish Satelite TV's, secure Wireless Internet, and many 'family-friendly' movies that the whole family can enjoy.
The home is cleaned with 'friendly' non-toxic cleaning agents, and we use only non-perfumed and hypo-allergenic laundry powder on all linens and towels. This leaves nothing but the good old-fashioned sweet smell of clean.
We supply all the paper goods that you need for your stay here at our home. Paper towels, coffee filters, napkins, toilet paper, tissues, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the supplies you need like tin foil, plastic wrap and plastic storage bags, spices, cloth dish towels, toaster, coffee makers, a waffle maker, blender, mixer, and etc.
You may drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, visit Pisgah National Forest, The Grove Park Inn, DuPont Triple Falls, Historic Main Streets, Carl Sandburg Home, The Biltmore House during the day ... and have a home cooked meal while watching the sunset from many windows and of course, the porch.
We know you will enjoy our quiet, peaceful and relaxing home. Come and find out for yourself.
Blessings,
Beth & Bruce Lynes

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed home. The views were spectacular, and in years of beach-house rentals, I've never found a home so clean, organized, and well-supplied! There were even a variety of teas and sweeteners by the teapot. With young children, we found it especially helpful that the owners permitted the use of their high chair, pac-n-play, and toy cabinet. We WILL be returning again and again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

First thing I want to say is this is our second stay in this house. This time we stayed for a week and once again everything was perfect. This time we met the owner and she is great. The house was niicely decorated for the Holidays. We had the chance to go on a different excursion each day with a visit to the Biltmore House, hiking in several different areas and strolling through shop after shop. There are so many places close by it was hard to choose. We are already talking about a spring time trip. This is a wonderful home with plenty of space and a beautiful view.It was hard to head back home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: It is such a blessing to have such wonderful people stay at our home. People who enjoy it as much as we do! Thank you.

We stayed at the property for three weeks, with a family of 2 children and three adult people from Germany, and we thoroughly enjoyed every day of this uniquely interesting vacation. The house is extremely well kept and perfectly clean, and also cosy. It is ideal as a starting point for many sightseeing tours and hiking within convenient-to-drive distances. The owners are very friendly and most helpful. To summarise: We couldn't have found a better place for our vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: It was wonderful having a family stay with us that are from out of the country. And thank you for the kind words.

We stayed here for a week and were very pleased with this home. The owner is quite helpful, and the house is kept very clean and well-stocked. The kitchen has every type of cookware and utensils you could need. The views from the front deck are simply gorgeous and the location of the home is very convenient. Asheville is about 1/2 hour away, and downtown Hendersonville is only a 5- 10 minute drive. Food shopping and gas are just 3 minutes away. We used this home as a base for hiking in Chimney Rock, Pisgah Forest and Dupont State Park - all easy drives from this location. We would definitely recommend this home to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

What a perfect place for 4 long-time friends to spend the week-end! There was plenty of space in the living room/dining room/kitchen and deck for us to visit together as well as space for each of us to have our own privacy. Every morning we enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck and watching the "smokey" mountains come to life. We also waited with great anticipation for the 2 beautiful white squirrels to arrive for breakfast. One morning as we were watching the rabbits play on the drive way, a baby fox surprised us when he stepped out of the woods. The location was ideal. We had fun going through the shops in Brevard and Hendersonville. We were pleased to have an Ingles nearby--their rotisserie chicken salad is delicious. We also had great meals at the nearby Italian restaurant and at the Highland Lake Inn (Flat Rock). Every evening we made sure that we were "home" in time to sip wine (well one of us at least) and watch the magnificent sunset over the mountains. Beth took great care to make us feel comfortable as evidenced by all the amenities she placed in her rental home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

You keep everything perfect - so clean and with all the amenities we could possibly need or want. We especially enjoyed the beautiful birds, hummingbirds and the white squirrels! Wow what a view, it is magnificent. Coming from Florida for New Years Eve we were excited about colder weather. Everything was perfect. We were so relaxed it was hard to leave and come home. Your home is beautiful and has everything needed. There was plenty of space for everyone and the area restaurants were great. We got plenty of pictures of the white squirrel. Thank you for making our trip memorable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house is delightful -- immaculate, modern, well equipped, and very private. We spent every evening on the deck watching the sun set over the Smokies and Mt. Pisgah. The hummingbirds and the white squirrel dropped by to add their hello to Beth's gracious hospitality. We explored Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard. Hiked to the waterfalls in DuPont Forest, roamed the Biltmore Estate and played lots of golf. A wonderful week!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+.
Owner response: Western North Carolina is a wonderful place to visit, live, and play. We love it and so do our renters. Thank you for staying with us at our beautiful mountain home.

We had 4 ladies in our group in need of a little refreshing of mind, body and spirit-we found the perfect place! The views are spectacular-perfect for just relaxing on the porch or by the window. And the location is perfect for all kinds of adventure. We hiked, shopped, bought apples fresh from the orchard, sat beside waterfalls and zipped through the tree tops. We just had the best time. Thank you Lynes family for sharing.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We bought this property and built this house because of it's location close to town, being located on a paved road, and with spectacular views towards the west. We are thankful we can share it's beauty with others. Thank you for coming.

Owner info
About the owner: We have always loved the mountains and vacationed here every year for 30 years. We finally made the move from Florida in 2000, and now North Carolina is home. Our daughters and their families live here, and we all enjoy the many outdoor activities. There is hiking, fishing, golf, tubing down the creeks, and even horseback riding in the Pisgah National Park. We built this house in 2003 because of the long distance views and yet it is close to town. You too will enjoy this upscale custom home, close-in yet private, on the side of a mountain. Bruce and Beth
Why the Owner Chose Hendersonville:
We love the fact that we are so close to Historic Downtown Hendersonville, and only a mile off 64W which is the main road leading to Brevard and the Pisgah National Forest. We are 20 minutes south of Asheville and 10 minutes to the airport and all shopping. We are located at the end of a paved road, in a community of 21 homes, yet this home is so private that you can not see another house from our home. Wonderful, quiet, and peaceful, with plenty of wildlife to see.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our home has a westward facing view, and you can see Mt. Pisgah, the Blue Ridge Parkway, many mountain ranges and the Mills River Valley from our home. The rockers are comfortable and the view is beautiful from any place on the deck.
There is a famly of white squirrels that visit the deck each day, just to see what 'goodies' we have put out for their enjoyment. We also supply the bird seed and the feeders that bring many moments of enjoyment. Come, stay and see the fun that our wildlife provides.
