Mayfair is one of the most fashionable districts in London. Some of the greatest hotels and restaurants are located in Mayfair. Certainly some of the most famous jewelers and dress designers have their shops in this affluent district of London. This flat on Grosvenor Street is very near New Bond Street and Oxford Street and just around the corner from Claridge's Hotel and Gorddon Ramsay's Restaurant. This is a very glittering area of London with fabulous shops, amazing cars, and wonderful restaurants. Just cross the street from this flat on Grosvenor Street is our wonderful flat on Maddox Street, so if you are a group of four, these two flats would work well together. For the next two years, the American Embassy will be located two blocks from this flat. If you like shopping, remember that Oxford Street is just three streets away. The flat itself has one double bedroom with a very comfortable queen size bed, good storage. The amazing bathroom is nothing less than fantastic--all marble and glass with beautiful accent lighting; it is really beautiful. The open plan kitchen/lounge is very comfortable with a small kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washer/dryer. The kitchen has a food preparation bar/service space which is very helpful. The lounge has a large flat screen television, a very nice glass table and four chairs, black leather sofa, and an interesting sideboard. The hardwood floors throughout are absolutely new. The flat is on the second floor, with lift, in a very interesting Art Nouveau building. Television and Broadband Internet are installed in the flat. I like this area of London. I like all the fine shops and fine restaurants. It is absolutely wonderful. If you are on this budget, this is a great selection.

Thank you for your email. We loved the apartment! It was very comfortable and in a truly A+++ location. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment and everything functioned very well. The pickup at Heathrow was very efficient – David, the driver, was a really nice guy and we loved talking with him about football and rugby. Christina, the person who met us at the apartment, was delightful as well. We would definitely stay here again. I couldn’t imagine a better location in Central London.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife and I stayed in the flat for five nights in October 2011. It is well-located - only a 5 minute walk from Bond Street tube station. We were able to easily move about the city on the Tube (the tourist sites we visited and the West End are in Zones 1 and 2, making this a fast and cost-effective way to travel). We took full advantage of the kitchen and found it saved us time and money. We were also able to eat healthier by preparing our own meals. The flat is clean, comfortable and in a secure building. The neighborhood appears safe and we had no problems walking to and from the Tube station at night. There are several markets nearby for supplies. The rental arrangements were not complicated and the people we dealt with were professional and helpful. We took possession of the flat on a Sunday and the let-in went through with no problems. The flat met all our needs and we would consider staying here the next time we are in London. We also recommend it to anyone else considering a visit to London.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
