Looking for a restful, quiet place to unwind? Look no further! This cabin, overlooking the swaying marsh grass and tidal river, is just where you need to rejuvenate. When you want serenity and solitude and a chance to reconnect with your family, this is just the place. Our adorable river cabin offers breathtaking sunrises and great boating and fishing. This cabin is on the Jerico River, a tidal saltwater river not far from the Intercoastal Waterway and St. Catherine's Sound. It is also convenient to Richmond Hill, GA, a suburb of Savannah.
Boat and ski in the river. Catch fish or blue crabs for your dinner off the dock. Take a break on the sand bar at low tide. Enjoy some time without the hassles of ringing phones and annoying traffic. Commune with Georgia's natural beauty - moss-dripping oaks, palm trees swaying in the cool breeze, and water and marsh views that will remind you of simpler times.

We stayed here June 4 - 11. The cabin is highly recommended by us. It was in a great location for my son's promotion ceremony at Fort Stewart, and their home in Richmond Hill. There were so many little extras that this was truly a home away from home. The view is just as pictured. It was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the deck, with the gas grill and Tiki lamp. If you need a place in this area, we highly recommend it. It was strange to see the sand bars appear and disappear with the tides. Great river view!! We saw dolphins a couple of days. The owners we great to deal with. It was also very quiet here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

This is our 4th time staying at the "River House", we live in British Columbia, Can, and we come to visit our children and grandkids who live in Pooler. This year we could only stay for 2 months, but as usual, the house was so nice to come back to. The kitchen is very well equiped, the whole house is very well decorated and so comfortable, and the view can't be beat! So many things to do and see, The Midway Museum is a must, also the Henry Ford museum in Richmond Hill is very interesting. Tybee Island, River Street, and City Market are fun places to vist and enjoy. Places to eat, Smokin' Pig in Richmond Hill for the best Southern bbq, and for seafood, the Sunbury Crab company, grilled shrimp and blue crab. Also Uptown Deli is amazing for lunches. We look forward to coming out again, thanks for everything.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We found the property to be as the owners advertised. I grew up in Richmond Hill, which is just across the Jericho River and it felt like home. Neat and clean and relaxing. You cannot beat the view and we set out immediately to getting out the crabbing and fishing gear. So, if you are looking to get away from the crowds and want a nice river breeze in your face this is for you.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks, Chip and Carla. Glad you had a nice visit. Join us for a longer stay soon.

We came for a six week business trip in Ft. Stewart and ended up staying for 13. Plenty of time to get to know the home, the area and the local flavor. A VIEW TO DIE FOR! Watched dolphins from the dock and a perfect deck & patio for enjoying morning coffee, relaxing after a busy day and space to entertain friends. Close enough for convenient day trips to Savannah, Tybee Island beach and several Florida hot spots. Plenty of restaurants in near by Richmond Hill but we had a hard time leaving home - Awesome kitchen for perfecting my gumbo recipe and I left the hard to find spices for the next lucky renters. Rarely ran into neighbors but when we did they were beyond friendly. Bird watchers will be delighted - we lost count of the varieties. Owners very responsive and we have already come back asking for another stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: We are so happy you stayed with us. Come back anytime!

We spent a full week here and as the title says, it is a great place for visiting, relaxing, and using as a base for sightseeing. Savanna is close; use HWY 17 to travel to coastal islands-one is close to many great things to see! The cabin had everything that one could need and was very clean.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks, Dan. We hope you and your lovely bride will join us again soon!
