Highlands House Inn is a charming and magical place. Nestled on a seaside patch of paradise in South Walton County in an exclusive area on Hwy 30-A. You can get lost in yourself while you relax on the veranda with a most picturesque and breathtaking view of the white sands and emerald green waters of Santa Rosa Beach.
This antebellum-style home, with its wide porches and cool breezes, is the perfect beach get-away, as the sound of the surf is music to the ears... Highlands House Inn has 10 comfortably decorated & spacious rooms (all with private baths), with 5 of these rooms offering private entrance onto the veranda with Gulf views.
Biking and Walking Trails line Hwy 30-A for morning and evening walks to the park or just sightseeing. If you get a little cabin fever, shopping is nearby to include: Gulf Place, Destin Commons, Grand Boulevard, Silver Sands Designer Outlet, and Pier Park.
We specialize in Weddings, Corporate Events and Reunions, as well as your romantic weekend or vacation get away… so nightly rates for individual rooms are available / Weekly rates available for the entire house, with a 3-night minimum option as well. Call or email for specifics.

This was a great place for our extended-family Thanksgiving getaway. There was more than enough room for the dozen of us. We enjoyed the residential area with nearby shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time on the back porch, the breakfast room, and the living room. It was nice having the beach view, and less than 50 yards from the back steps. Great place for gatherings of families and friends.

My husband and I stayed at the Highlands House recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house itself was just lovely. We got to look at all the rooms and each one was decorated beautifully, with a beach feel but very elegant. There is a nice central area upstairs to relax and gather. The back porch was spacious and gave a nice view of the gulf, with beach access not far away. The owner was very pleasant and flexible to deal with. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby as well as shops to explore. A great getaway. We will definitely return!!

2 of us had a "girls overnight" at very beginning of season! Staff was very helpful, pictures were very accurate of accomodations, everything was lovely. I had looked a long time on the internet and had just about given up on finding something with an gulf view that was comfortable and relaxing. This was perfect.

Our experience was wonderful! We had my son's weddings at the Highlands House and were very, very pleased. The house was amazing and the contact with mangagement was super. Although the weather wasn't great, we had a wonderful time and look forward to going back soon.
