Welcome to our WATERFRONT COTTAGE and our LOG CABIN on Crystal Lake! Come and enjoy our two beautiful, weed-free, hard-packed, sandy-bottomed swimming beaches. Crystal Lake is known as one of the ten most beautiful inland lakes in the world and you’ll know why when you see it! What our beaches offer is plenty of sugar soft sand for castle building and a dock and swim platform for sun bathers and swimmers. The crystal clear water is perfect for children, as it is shallow until you are out beyond the dock.
WE HAVE 2 COTTAGES.
The WATERFRONT COTTAGE is about 60 feet from the water’s edge. It sleeps seven in two bedrooms and a loft and contains a queen bed, full bed, and three twins. The kids LOVE the loft and is perfect for their cottage experience. This cottage is 1500 square feet. Enjoy the screen porch, deck, kitchen, bathroom and living room. Cook outdoors if you like. There is a charcoal grill, picnic table, plenty of lawn chairs, and a fire pit for evening marshmallow roasts. This WATERFRONT cottage enjoys views of the entire beachfront and dock. The kitchen has coffee perculator, microwave, new full-size refridgerator, blender and stove. The queen bedroom and the living room have picture windows looking at the water. Views of the water can be seen in all rooms of the house except the full bedroom. This cottage also boasts a HOT and COLD outdoor shower.
The LOG CABIN is about 200 feet from the water’s edge and is situated among the pines, behind the first cottage. It sleeps five. It is a beautiful, authentic LOG CABIN which was built by hand in 1959! The cabin is about 1000 square feet and has two living areas. A charming stone fireplace lends backwoods ambiance to the front room. The tools that built this cabin are hanging on the wall. This room contains a king size bed, a twin bed, and a pleasant sitting area. A locking door separates the front and back rooms. The back room contains the kitchen, bathroom and a curtained off 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds. The kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, blender and dinner table to seat 10! There is also an outdoor charcoal grill outside. This cottage shares the beachfront and dock.
Dogs are an important member of many families. As our cottages are on a private road with just one neighbor across the road, it’s a very safe place for dogs. There is no road between the cottages and the lake. Over half the lake has the road right next to the homes or between the lakes and the property. Well-behaved dogs can run and swim to their hearts’ content! We allow Dogs in our LOG CABIN ONLY. If you are interested in bringing your dog along, please call us to discuss that possibility. There is an additional charge for each dog and we ask they not be left unattended in the cottages. We have a large dog crate on the premises.
Our WATERFRONT COTTAGE and LOG CABIN are in Mollineaux Bay between Frankfort and Beulah off 115. The dock and swim platform are shared for both properties. We are very proud of our cottages. They are nestled in an area we like to think of as our "Heaven on Earth". There are many wonderful things to do in this area. The bike path to Elberta and Beulah is only a mile down the neighborhood road. The full length of the “rails to trails” is about 24 miles. Explore the pristine North Michigan country side. Buy a cherry pie – the Cherry Hut in Beulah has been recommended by Reader’s Digest as having the nation’s best cherry pie! The beautiful city of Frankfort, Michigan, just a couple miles down the road, is a quaint, picturesque, port city with great dining, shopping, KILWIN'S ICE CREAM, and Lake Michigan Beaches. See a movie at the historic Garden Theater in Frankfort.
Bring your dog for a walk on the Lake Michigan beach at Elberta (by “Trick Dog”). The famous Sleeping Bear Dunes are less than an hour north of us! Take a day trip to Traverse City for a sail on a tall ship. Visit the Lelanau Peninsula and do some antiquing. There is always berry picking for strawberries, cherries, blueberries, or raspberries close by. Check out the always family friendly double features at the Cherry Bowl drive-in theater just down M-31 in the town of Honor.

We stayed in the front cottage right on the lake in July of 2011. The property was clean and well maintained. All of the amenities within and around the property were as described in the listing. The swimming area is particualarly nice for children as it is within easy view from all points facing the lake from the cottage as well as the the screened in porch, kitchen, and main living room. The lake is shallow for a consideable distance away from the cottage which places boat traffic away from the little ones. They really enjoyed the dock and swim ladder. The property is loaded with mature trees which provide shade when desired with ample sun near the beach and dock areas. Firepit was very nice to have for cooking and family fun. The children very much enjoyed their accomodations in the three bed loft. Accessible by ladder, this is a nice feature. The cottage itself is a classic Northern Michigan geataway finished in knotty pine and well furnished with screened in porch. The view of Lake Michigan weather is spectacular from here. Sleeping accomodations are very comfortable and clean. The property is also just a stone's throw from some really great fishing accesible by boat on Railroad Point. This is a great value for any family wanting to experience what the Crystal Lake area has to offer. We recommend this rental to anyone seeking a private getaway to this area of Michigan.

CRYSTAL LAKE! The name says it all! What a pristine and beautiful place to swim, float, play and fish. The LOG CABIN was like walking into Grandma's lake cabin. Charming and cozy (and perfectly described on the page). The beds were SO comfortable! Our dog, Otis, had the time of his life - swimming, wading and just 'hanging with his peeps'! We will always remember our summer vacation on heavenly Crystal Lake!

Stayed here for a week with our family. It was as detailed in the explanation, rustic, beautifully made. Perfect size for four. Clean and well-maintained, outstanding beach with beautiful, mossy path leading to lake. Very convenient location.
