This cabin was excellent, and I would highly recommend it! We loved hanging out on the large back porch; grilling burgers and relaxing while listening to the bubbling creek right across the gravel road. The cabin had a lot of charm, and although secluded and peaceful, was only a 10 minute drive from Clayton. The location was also an excellent launching point for whitewater rafting and hiking in Tallulah Gorge. Another great feature was the awesome waterfall and swimming hole within an easy 20 minute walk from the cabin. Lastly, the owner was very responsive and pleasant to deal with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Marwan was super accommodating; even to the point of providing the much-desired snow on Christmas Day! the cabin was perfect for our family with plenty of cozy room for our family of 8! Lovely walking the private, winding, snow covered road in this beautiful mountain setting, making snowmen, having snowball fights, watching the stars in the pristine, quiet night. Especially enjoyed the sound of the rushing creek just outside the cabin. Not so fancy that you were afraid you would wreck something, but nice and warm and cozy with absolutely everything we needed for our 5 day Christmas getaway. thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We rented this for a family weekend get a way. We had 5 adults and one small child. We had plenty of room and really enjoyed having a kitchen stocked with enough pots & pans to actually cook. The property was clean inside and out. Our favorite part was being able to sit on porch and listen to the nearby creek going by. It is very secluded and a great cottage.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This cabin was perfect! I booked it for a weekend getaway with some old friends and we ended up having a total of 8 people go. There was plenty of room and the back porch was great for relaxing. The beds were really comfortable and the cabin had an endless supply of blankets and pillows. I highly recommend this cabin! It is secluded and yet very close to the city, so you don't have to deal with miles of winding mountain roads each time you have to go to town. For fans of hiking, Black Rock Mountain State Park is really close and has great trails at various levels of difficulty (one trail in particular went right by a waterfall). My *entire* group of friends enjoyed themselves and wants to go back to this exact cabin next summer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

While the environment surrounding the cabin is rustic and the cabin has been decorated to retain a rustic feel, the cabin is quite spacious and comfortable. All the amenities of home are there and, other than food, there is no need to bring anything with you. The bedrooms are large and comfortable as is the huge front porch. The kitchen is super. It is bigger and nicer than the one in my home and was well stocked with glasses, dishes and all necessary cooking utensils. Our stay was most enjoyable and we look forward to returning real soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: My wife and I purchased this property in 2004 (picture is my mom - my wife has since passed away). She adored it and we spent a lot of time up there with my two kids. It is a great hide out and a jewel of a place to just relax and do nothing - or go out and hike the many North Georgia mountain trails. My wife passed away in 2007 and I have not been to use the place as often as I like. So I want other people to enjoy for the modest price we are charging.
Why the Owner Chose Clayton:
secluded, hidden, very quiet and next to a creek
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
hiking trails, cool creek, quiet surroundings.
