La Lisonniere is a beautiful villa situated in olive groves on a south facing hillside just outside Chateauneuf which is an ancient hill village with narrow pedestrian streets. The views from the villa extend to the distant Mediterranean and the mountains of the Esterel. There are extensive terraces and a 16 metre pool which are very private, not overlooked, and in full sun throughout the day. There are also separate places where it is possible for members of a party to sit apart from the others from time to time. We welcome children, there is a level grassy area in front of the villa for playing and a field for football. There is also a marvelous covered terrace adjacent to the kitchen for summer dining and in winter the open terraces are ideal for leisurely lunches in the sun. You can see further photographs of the terrace gardens and pool on the villa web site, see below.

Whilst it is very private, La Lisonniere is not isolated and you can walk up through olives on the hillside and then by way of the village to the local commercial centre to collect bread and croissants for breakfast. The coast is less than half an hour away and many visitors find it adds to the enjoyment of their holiday after a day at the beach, to be able to retreat away from the crowds and the noise of traffic to the quiet of our hillside where there is no noise or bustle even in mid summer and relax with an aperitif looking out to the sea as the sun goes down.

The interior of the villa is very comfortable. There are three large sized double bedrooms each with a king sized bed which can be split to form two singles. In addition leading off the upstairs bedroom there is a childrens room with bunk beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with full bath and shower. Photos of all the interior rooms are on the web site.

Everything is provided to make your holiday enjoyable. The owners who are grandparents live just next door, although you cannot see one house from the other, and will baby-sit if required so that you can enjoy some of the fine restaurants in the area. There are toys and bikes for children and swings to the rear of the villa.
