Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1993
We've always loved the mountains of Colorado and all the recreation that is available year around. I get great enjoyment out of "sharing" our mountain home with others. I certainly hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Tabernash
The development, Winter Park Highlands, is on 2-3 acre lots. This is perfect for a quiet location. We are also on a dead end street. The views are tremendous of the front range mountains. You can see Winter Park ski area from the deck! We are half way between Winter Park/Mary Jane ski area and Sol Vista Ski Area. There are 2 x/c ski areas nearby as well. We feel we have the perfect location
The Unique Benefits of this House
The skiing in winter is wonderful. The hiking and biking in the summer as well as wildflower viewing are exceptional. There's a golf course nearby, with horseback riding close by too. The smell in the air of pines and the view of the front range mountains from the deck are a real drawing card!

Wow! What an amazing house and view. My family and I had the best vacation we've ever had. The house fit our family perfect and the Ping Pong table was such a delight! Best House in the area and great price too!

Well it was absolutely beautiful - the house and area were even more beautiful than the last time three years ago. Your house is so clean and fresh and there are such great views from every window. Weather was picture perfect and we were not ready to leave. We will be returning if it is still available!

Very private, comfortable and quiet setting in the woods, we could only see one other house in any direction. Well stocked kitchen. Clean. Unbeatable view. Convenient to town but secluded. 15-20 minute drive to Winter Park and a 10 minute drive to Sol Vista. Huge for a three bedroom house (there's also a loft). I think it was bigger than the house I live in. Not a lot of frills (hot tub), but a ping pong table, plenty of board games, DVD and stereo are included. If we return to Winter Park, we would stay here again.

Great location with beautiful views! Our family loved the clean and comfortable atmosphere of this house. Our kids played ping-pong when not skiing, tubing or sleeping. While there, we had four deer (almost within petting range) come up to the front porch. What a beautiful sight! The owners are great about providing information regarding the local community and events. I would recommend this place for those looking for R & R.

Jeanie & Paul: Thanks for two GLORIOUS weeks on three secluded acres of heaven. Our golden retriever had as much fun as any of us. This was our SECOND trip to the Mountain House, and just as special as the first. We can't wait to come back. You've got it all: a clean, quiet, roomy place to stay, shopping in WP and Grand Lake, Rocky Mtn. NP, hiking, fishing, and now, THREE Starbucks within 20 minutes: WP village, Safeway (Fraser), and City Market (Sol Vista). And all at a resonable price! Who could ask for more? Thanks for sharing your home.

We live west of Houston, TX, so we don't see much snow! We were really looking forward to our first family ski trip together, my husband, teenage son, and I. We had a wonderful time skiing in Winter Park, and it was great to come back to the comfort and warmth of the Mt. House! The view out of the front window is breathtaking! I loved being able to see it while eating breakfast every morning. We had everything we needed. It felt just like home, except a bit bigger!

Close to towns for groceries, etc., and to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, yet secluded enough to just watch nature and relax. Great place to stay.

The mountain house was even better than we expected. It was very clean. The views were wonderful and the house very spacious. I would recommend this house highly. The location is close enough to the Safeway and Winterpark and also good for the Rocky Mtn. National Park.

The mountain house is a beautiful place to escape to. The house itself is wonderful and very clean. Great views from the living room and a spacious kitchen to cook in. We brought our dogs with us and they loved it there. It's very resonable in price and worth the trip.
