A great place to relax and enjoy life! Have your morning coffee or evening beverage on the balcony and relish the beautiful mountain view. Plenty of room in house for quiet times as well as family enjoyment. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Spacious lower level provides a large screen TV and area for family visiting. For a family get-away, this is the best!

Accommodations include KING bed & bath in loft; QUEEN in each of the 2 main level BRs, each with private bath; FULL in lower level BR; Sofa sleeper in lower level; Full bath for lower level. Additional half bath on main level.

Located in beautiful Sapphire Fairfield community just east of Cashiers. Area is filled with beautiful flora & mountain views. Be as laid-back as you like or enjoy the outdoors or unique shopping & restaurants found locally in Sapphire & Cashiers and in Highlands (30 min west), and Brevard (45 min east). House is approx. two hours from Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Maggie Valley. Asheville, with the Biltmore, is only 1 1/2 hr away. Other amenities of the area include those listed for the SVMA community, many golf courses, cultural events, hiking trails and water falls.

  • We chose to take our six year old daughter to the North Carolina mountains to see snow for the first time during mid-January. It snowed the first two days. We stayed a week, and loved this house. The description says three bedrooms, a loft, and 4.5 baths, but the loft was an entire suite by itself. I would describe it as a large beautiful house with four bedroom/bath suites, plus a half bath. There is a large living area on both the upper and lower floors, both with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Our daughter often watched her DVDs from the downstairs living area, while we relaxed, drank our coffees, and enjoyed the views from the upper living area. We mentioned to ourselves several times during our stay how perfect this house is to bring our larger family together. I love to cook, and we did so every night of our stay. The kitchen was large and very well appointed. A charcoal grill is available from the garage, and the local building supply store had a great supply of untreated cedar planks for grilling fish. The ski resort at Sapphire Valley was less than two miles away, adjacent to the amenities center, which had a large heated pool, hot tubs, wet and dry saunas, a fitness center, and game rooms for the kids. We also took a trail ride, through Whitewater Trail Rides. The owner's a retired pilot, and full of local history. We all loved it. We simply loved everything the house had to offer, and will come back as soon as we can. We'll also bring more of our family or friends, to help us enjoy this great place. We also enjoyed shopping for chocolates in the village at nearby Highlands.

  • Have spent a week 2 separate years at this gorgeous property. Most perfect for our family of 13. Couldn't believe how spacious the home is and how there was ample space for adults, small children and adolescents to each enjoy separate activities. The home's location offers many opportunities for things to do and the restaurants offer grand fare. If one chooses to eat in, the well equipped kitchen and large family table accommodates ones needs. Grocery is very close. Thank you for sharing this great home. We'll be back.
