Lakefront house with dock, swim float and large yard on beautiful Lake Champlain. Mooring available. Walking distance to town. Perfect for a family reunion or to share with another family. The sixth bedroom is a studio apartment in the basement looking out on the lake.
A 6 burner commercial Garland stove makes cooking for a large group a joy. The large dining room table inside can comfortably seat 12 and if you cozy up, 17. Outside there is seating for 18 on the brick patio.
Beautiful lake views from the living room and deck. Den can serve as an extra bedroom with a Qsofa and two twin futons. Master bedroom has a queen and twin, bedroom 2 has two twins, bedroom 3 has one queen, bedroom 4 has one twin, bunk room has one bunk bed, basement studio apartment has a queen and a twin. There are also two large sofas in the living room that have provided additional sleeping space when there is over-flow. The gaming room has a ping-pong table. Sit on the deck, relax and enjoy the beautiful lake.

My sister and I were thrilled to find this large rustic lake house for our family reunion. We grew up on Lake Champlain, and our parents still live in the area, so it worked as the perfect spot! We had three generations in the house, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved fishing off the dock, and we all enjoyed games of ping pong. It was wonderful for us all to be able to sit out on the large deck overlooking the beautiful lake. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed...plenty of dishes, glassware, pots and pans, and every conceivable utensil we could possibly need. We had three young boys with us, so having a washer and dryer there was such a bonus! The large kitchen/eating area was great for our big family meals, and the spacious family room was perfect for visiting and family game nights. We are already talking about next time!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We arrived to find the windows open and doors unlocked, how refreshing. The house has so much character which we love and enjoy. We appreciated the fact that this retreat has been much loved and used. The house is quite large and proud of itself. It has a camp-like feeling and natural but is most comfortable and well-equipped. The huge stove and griddle was the gathering place in the mornings for our family breakfasts. Such fun.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers.

We had an excellent week, 16 of us. Well equipped kitchen for large groups. Very much a camp but most comfortable. Clean and well maintained, the labeling in the kitchen very helpful. Gorgeous deck overlooking the lake. Waterfront good, water shoes a must. Boat dockage on moorings so willing to swim out to boat or use canoe which is available with the property. Swing set available for kids, table tennis competitions were enjoyed. Ferry available nearby at Essex, NY to Charlotte, Vermont and also Lake Placid. Good shopping for groceries in Elizabethtown. Very good golf course at Westport.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with young children.

Upon arrival found premises to be unclean and unacceptable . Floors were dirty , screens were like lint traps with pollen and unclean, sliding screen door to kitchen missing, broken outside furniture, grounds unkempt. Place was a mess. Called owner about situation and she was too busy to come down and see. Later on she did negotiate some price adjustment but after spending a day plus cleaning the damage had been done. As grandparents arriving with our son's family with three children including a baby we were not happy..
