The house is located about 1.5 miles west of downtown Highlands near the end of Glen Falls Road and situated in a sunny, secluded meadow with a small stream. A large porch in front and a deck in the back provide exceptional outdoor living areas.
Well equipped kitchen includes microwave, dishwasher, gas stove and cooktop. Linens are provided. Amenities include washer/dryer, charcoal grill, satellite TV, DVD/VCR, CD player. Each bedroom has a private bath with walk-in shower. Bedrooms/baths are located on the upper level. King bed in one and a queen in the other. Additional full size bed located in downstairs den.
The property borders the Nantahala National Forest. The 180-foot multiple cascades of Glen Falls are located down a short trail that starts 1/4 mile from the house. A 45-minute hike along a separate trail leads to the top of Chinquapin Mountain.

We loooove this cabin. It is so charming and comfortable. Walk from the front porch to the trailhead of highlands most gorgeous waterfall, Glen Falls. Three remote controlled gas fireplaces make for easy ambience and warmth. The babbling creek in the front yard is soothing sound while you read or nap on the front porch. Can't wait to come again.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
