Keywords: House--Cantilevered Over Lake
Imagine the marriage of the houseboat in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" to a private, luxury executive home having some of the genes from the roof garden in "Just Like Heaven" and throw in the feeling you get walking the full length of your own outer deck on a cruise ship. A grandfather clause has allowed the building of this newer, gorgeous, Mediterranean style home directly out over the water. You will be amazed at the beautiful quality craftsmanship and top quality construction. Even though you will be within a pleasant drive to most any activity you could possibly imagine--from skiing in the Cascade Mountains and island hopping in the San Juans, to shopping and fine dining, you will never want to leave this house... Come and see!
Relax on the rooftop “beach” in our Adirondack chairs then take a few steps to pick garden fresh raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, apples and Asian pears in season. Gather herbs from our rooftop raised beds to make delicious meals for yourself in our dream of a kitchen. Eat inside at our nice solid oak table or on the roof overlooking the lake where if you linger you can often marvel at the pinks and golds of the setting sun followed by the magic of the lights across the lake or the moon and stars reflecting in the water. Get up early and drink in spectacular sunrises and be on the look out for eagles, osprey, loons, herons, hummingbirds, seagulls, ducks, geese, and even the occasional otter or beaver gliding by. Watch the fisherfolks bring in their catch or come prepared to throw your line off the deck and catch a big ol’ trout or bass of your own. Take a walk around the lake and stop at one of the parks or restaurants along the way.
If it’s chilly out, put your feet up in front of our wonderful, warm gas fireplace and read to your heart’s content. Relax your aches and cares away in the hot tub in the gazebo with sliding windows to the garden on one side of you and the lake on the other or take a steam bath in our big shower off the master bedroom.
Come by yourself or bring your honey or your family or friends. The master bedroom has a comfy king sized bed and its own bathroom with a sink, a toilet and a double sized steam shower. The second bedroom has a luxurious queen sized bed and is a few steps from the main bathroom which has a sink, a toilet and a combination shower/bathtub. There is also a tiny room with a futon that folds down into a double bed for an extra guest or two if they like to be cozy. And there is a nook for one or two additional smaller guests in the living room with an inviting day bed with two stacked sleeping pads 30 inches wide by 6 feet that can be used where they are, or removed and used together or separately on the floor.
A personal note: We have traveled the world, but have never found accommodations we love more than our Lakehouse. It is a joy to share this very special place with you while we are away. We have already had more happiness in our years here than some people have in an entire life time!! We wish you the same enjoyment.
