This was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate a college graduation! Linda was very helpful in our pre-stay dealings, making sure that this would be the *right* place for us. The house is beautiful, the views from 3d floor breath-taking, and a wonderful place to just relax & take in the sunset over Malibu. Everything is just as described - a great kitchen, outdoor grill for our burgers, plenty of dishes, glasses, etc., and a quiet dishwasher so everyone sleeps soundly. And the beds are a dream! We rode the bikes, enjoyed the beach, and just enjoyed being temporary residents. Check it out - we highly recommend it! Thank you for this experience. It was memorable!

These reviews are true. I would rate this home a 6 out of 5 if I could! The owners, Mike and Linda ,provide you with everything you need. The house is wonderful. very clean, plush towels and the most comfortable beds. The views are stunning. We watched the surfers in the morning and beautiful sunsets in the early evening. You are steps from the sand. We used the beach chairs and bikes everyday. I used to live in this area and I can tell you the location is great. This was so much better than staying at a luxury hotel. Staying at Linda and Michael's was wonderful. Both of them make the experience so comfortable. The house was beautifully appointed - with every fine touch of a luxury hotel! Usually the photos are better than the real thing - but in this case the opposite is true. From the second I walked into the house - I felt totally relaxed with all the comforts of home at my fingertips. There is so much attention to detail in the home with every last thing provided...my parents didn't want to leave! My family and I are already talking about when we can book with Linda and Michael again - it's really a special place. Not to mention, every morning we took long walks on the beach and our toddler had the time of his life playing in the sand a few steps away. Thank guys for making such a beautiful home available.

Amazing! This home has everything you could think of. It was set up in a way that made you feel like you were at the most posh hotel. Sumptious linens, fluffy bathrobes, luxurious bathrooms just to start it off. The view was wonderful. We used the bikes every day. You were close enough to all the shops and restaurants to enjoy them but far enough to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the ocean's waves. It was a slice of heaven from our busy everyday world. This home is really awesome! We (party of 4) spent a week in Linda’s and Michael’s house and from the beginning on we felt at home. Unfortunately we were somehow unlucky with the weather and so we spent more time at home than probably usual and it’s therefore all the more important that you feel comfortable. The house is very clean and it has everything you can think of. It’s very well-equipped and lovingly furnished and decorated, too. The information given on VRBO and the pictures are very accurate. The location is also great - only few steps from the promenade and the beach. We slept with open windows and it was just amazing hearing the ocean’s waves! Linda and Michael were so nice and helpful in explaining and answering everything around the house. We could call them whenever we needed to but in fact it was not necessary. Linda even called us to see if everything’s okay. To summarize, this place is absolutely recommendable and we had a wonderful time. At this point we would like to take the opportunity to say once again THANK YOU to Linda and Mike. We would love to come back!

Delightful stay in Manhattan Beach

If you are searching for a comfortable well appointed place to stay while in the Los Angeles area you have got consider this lovely Manhattan Beach home. Mike and Linda have done an excellent job of creating a welcoming rental home. They were extremely easy to work and made our first experience with VRBO a very pleasant one. It may be hard to believe but the house was even nicer in person than the photographs on the VRBO listing page show. Between its close proximity to the strand and the bicycles in the garage getting around Manhattan Beach is a breeze. If you prefer to explore a wider area, the location of the home provides easy access to both the 105 and 405 freeways. Our rental SUV fit easily into the homes garage providing secure off-street parking. If you are searcing for the perfect getaway in Manhattan Beach do yourself a favor and contact Mike and Linda!

This home was absolutely impeccable. Very convenient to the strand and the beach. My family and I had an unbeleivable time. If you want to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of being on the beach this home offers this and much more. At night if you close the windows inside the home is perfectly silent so you can get a well deserved sleep. The home gaves us the same feel as being at the spa. I would highly recommend it.

Perfect Beach Home!

This home more than exceeded our expectations. The information and pictures on the VRBO site are very accurate, but I have to say in person it was even nicer. The home was spotless and the decor was right out of a magazine. The owner's, Linda and Mike were helpful in answering all our questions when we booked our holiday and when we arrived. They also informed us we could reach them at any time if we needed to, but there was never a need. The home had everything you could possibly need, right down to the terry bathrobes in each bedroom, and if you didn't know where an item was located there was even a binder listing all the items in the house and where to find them. The proximity to the Strand and beach was great, just two houses and you were there. We loved that there were beach chairs, towels and even bikes for our use (there are also boogie boards and a surf board). As my husband, two adult daughters and son-in-law were staying in this three bedroom, three and a half bath home, it gave everyone the space they wanted. The top floor open concept living room, dining room and kitchen area is very roomy and the large couch was a great spot for all of us to watch a little T.V. and still look out at the ocean and watch the beautiful sunsets. The area has so many great restaurants that we started to run out of days to go to eat at them all, and we also wanted to kick back and make a few bbq's on the deck. Just one block away, was a great fish restaurant that just opened a couple of months ago called, The Fish Bar, that we discovered at the end of our holiday and would have loved to go back but ran out of days. The reviews we found online were very good. The prices were very reasonable and the food was great. It was a little noisy but that made it even more fun . Another must is Uncle Bill's Pancake House, but if you want to avoid the long wait for a table, drive by and put your name on the list, park your car back at the house and then walk back along the Strand. We did this and when we got back we were able to be seated right away. Also, it is a good way to work off a few calories from the huge portions. The ice cream shop in Manhattan is a must if you have a sweet tooth,they have amazing home made ice cream sandwiches. As you can tell I don't have anything negative to say and in fact I have already recommended this home to our friends. Thanks Linda and Mike for making our vacation top notch.

This home will exceed your expectations - Excellent location, one block to the water, one block to the main drag - Owners have really done a great job equipping this home with a very nice assortment of beach toys (Bikes, Beach Chairs, Boogie / Surf Boards, etc). Most beach rentals have a real "run-down" sense about them - Not this house - Highly Recommended.

A beautiful home with every possible need catered for! Warm, comfortable - we felt at home immediately. Just a few steps from the beach, and fabulous promenade walk and wonderful views from the living areas and outside deck. Restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk and very handy for Manhattan Beach shops. Owners could not have been more willing or helpful - I will definitely recommend it! We'll be back!

Spent a week at this rental with our friends. Loved our rental. Clean, beautiful inside, great beds and great views of the ocean and sunsets. Watched the suffers every morning from balcony while having our coffee! A nice residental setting, everthing the photos showed and more. The Clelands had everything you would need coming from out of town, like a 5 star hotel and were so nice to work with. We loved walking and biking (we loved having the 4 bikes) the strand everyday and sitting on the beach, which they had everything you needed for that also. Would stay here again and would recommend to friends because a great value also. OB's just a block away had great dinner deals and the food was very good, our go to place. But we ate at a lot of great restaurants from Manhattan pier - about a mile away, to Hermosa pier, and even Rodondo riding the bikes or walking. Only used our car when we left the beach area for sightseeing - Hollywood, Dana Point, and Catilina Island. Even rode the bikes to Venice Beach! Can't wait to come back!

Amazing Vacation Home!

My family and I just got back from our vacation to Manhattan Beach and it was a wonderful experience! We have never been to Cali so having a vacation rental that was so fully prepared and equipped made the stay that much more enjoyable. We were surprised at everything the home had to offer. Not to mention how friendly Linda and Michael were. Our trip was smooth sailing from the first e-mail I sent to Linda! It's a gorgeous home inside and out and I would recommend it to anyone. We defiantly want to come back! While you're there don't forget to check out OB's Pub! We had quite a few good times there and the people were awesome! Our 3-generation family of six (6) thoroughly enjoyed this rental. This house is truly spectacular, even better in 'real life' than the pictures. The rooms and furnishings are beautiful, all very well equipped and extremely clean upon our arrival. The location is very quiet being on a dead-end street, but restaurants are an easy walk. And the Strand - oh the easy access to the Strand! There was absolutely nothing misrepresented by the description of this property.

When you want it all!

We were lucky to spent 4 months living in this house. I am not sure where to begin... The owners are incredible people, with an incredible attention to details. The house has it all and we mean ALL. We are food lovers that enjoy great amounts of time cooking and there was even a full baking set, never we found ourselves missing a tool or a perfect size plate, etc, etc. The decoration is modern, clean and confortable. Bathrooms fully equipped, high quality linnens. Bikes in perfect conditions. I can go on and on listing just good things. The view is phenomenal and no doubt the living room is the perfect spot to enjoy many colorful pacific sunsets. The house is so close to the strand, bikes rides and beach walks were the order of the day almost every day. If you are considering spending some time in this place, we can assure you it is the right house/location to be! That said, descriptions listed are very humble. Place is as gorgeous as the pictures listed, owners are helpful, responsible and incredibly kind people. If you make it, dont miss La Solsta innoteca and Chef Melba's. By far the best places near by.

It's taken me a while to get to this review. I've been busy with weddings and work that I completely forgot to review this lovely property. Linda and her husband were so nice and very accommodating! The property is just as it is described and all the amenities were fabulous. The beds were super comfortable and their house was immaculately kept. We made sure we took care of the house and cleaned up and left it as when we arrived. The only thing was the parking. We were told we could park in front of the neighbors driveway, but then when we did so we were asked to move our car. With these beach cities, you really have to pay attention to the parking laws. Other than that, our stay was quite memorable and my favorite thing about the short trip were the bikes! Thanks and hope we can stay here again in the future.

Beautifully Equiped Beach House

My wife and I stayed for a month and our grown children visited. The house was spotless and well maintained. Everything you could ever want was there from Beach Chairs to Boogie Boards. They maintained 4 well kept bikes to ride the beautiful Pacific Strand. Our stay was fantastic and The Clelends were very attentive to our needs. A Memorable Place to Spend a Vacation

The condo design is fabulous. And everything is new and clean and well maintained. Gormet kitchen and top of the line bbq. The kinda place you would enjoy spending a whole day in if it rained. Everything you need is here, beach towels, (6) chairs, and other beach equipment, (4) bikes, etc. Mike and Linda (the owners) thought of everything! Our family had a blast spending our summer vacation here bonding and building lasting memories. We spent our days surfing in the morning, riding the beach cruisers to a late breakfast in the afternoon (there are miles of strand to ride on), then relaxing at the condo during the mid day, visiting local diners or bbq on the patio for diner, and playing board games and watching movies at night. We enjoyed the ocean view from the top balcony and the rythmic sound of the waves. Windows and patio doors remained open (no need for heat or A/C) and NO BUGS the whole time (except one fly). Mike and Linda were a delight to work with, very nice and friendly - everything went supper smooth. I HIGHLY Recommend this rental.

Escape From Reality

We arrived at this modern and beautiful beach home on a Friday and were completely surprised by the property. The listing description didn't come close to doing this spectacular home justice. Every conceivable need was considered for the guests down to beach towels, chairs and bikes. This modern home is beautifully furnished and decorated and provides a wonderful living area to congregate with family and friends. The view from the balconies was tremendous and allowed one to watch the surfers without leaving the home. The location near The Strand was terrific for walks and bike rides. Nearby restaurants and shopping were conveniently located which limited the need to drive many places. I will definitely recommend this home to friends and hope to return in the future when I can stay longer. Finally, the owners were so hospitable and accessible during our visit and made the normally anxiety-ridden rental process very easy.

We rented this house in mid-March 2010 and couldn't have been happier with our experience. Not only was the house stylish and gorgeous, but Mike and Linda had though of every possible ammenity to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. The layout was ideal, with a fantastic living/dining room and kitchen & enormous windows, and the top floor terrace offered a great grill and a beautiful view of the ocean. The location was perfect for beach-goers and athletic types: the bikes and beach chairs were a big plus, and my we were even able to surf for a few days, thanks to the surfboard at the house. It was my family's first visit to Manhattan Beach. Linda's home was perfect for the visit and accommodated all four of us easily. The inside is finished out and decorated beautifully. It included all the things necessary to make it a home-away-from-home. The views from the living area are remarkable in the morning. The beach and the strand are just a few steps from the home. We rode the bikes included with the stay from the home to Malibu. The shopping and dining by the pier are top notch. I will visit Manhattan Beach again and stay at Linda and Mike's place. Highly recommend staying here. The house is gorgeous - everything is modern and new. The online pictures are very accurate but the house is even better in person. The owners thought of everything - clean, beautiful bathrooms and bedrooms; extremely comfortable beds with professionally laundered linens (makes a big difference!); lots of beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, surf board and body boards and bikes; kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies (pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, plates, cups, glasses - all very nice quality!); outdoor grill; washer and dryer. The location is great - half a block from the beach (you can see the beach and the ocean from the house - it was lovely to wake up to a view of the ocean and we saw some pretty spectacular sunsets from the living room), 15 minutes from LAX, less than 5 minutes driving to Manhattan Beach downtown (it's walkable depending on how used you are to walking but we had two young kids and are used to driving everywhere so we preferred to drive rather than walk). There's a new shopping complex with a Whole Foods and lots of shops 5 to 10 minutes away; also about 5 to 10 minutes away are two supermarkets (Ralphs and Fresh and Easy) and a Costco. Very convenient to shops, restaurants, the freeway, etc. It took us about 35 minutes to get to Disneyland, without traffic. The owners were very accessible and helpful. They were reachable at all times but were not intrusive. I highly, highly recommend staying here. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in LA!

This beautiful home, in an excellent location, equipped with every imaginable amenity, made for a perfect vacation for our family of six adults. The modern kitchen was well equipped with all manner of bake and cookware . The living room and dinning room are beautifully decorated and comfortable for us all. We enjoyed the views both during the day, and in the evening. The garage held important items to make the beach more enjoyable: 3 bikes and helmets, boogie boards and a surfboard, folding beach chairs and an umbrella . We would definitely consider the place for a return trip.

What an awesome getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation home. So nice to be so satisfied with our choice - the pictures and description could not do the home justice. This house is gorgeous! We are a family of five, and we stayed here for 10 days. It was the perfect house and location for our beach vacation. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you will need, and more! The beds are super comfy - we all slept great every night. The owners are very nice, and were accessible and very helpful with any questions we had about the area. The beach is steps away, very quick and easy to get to. Manhattan Beach is a great town with lots of great shops and dining options. We also did things in other areas of Los Angeles, like Universal Studios, etc., and still loved coming back to the beach house at this relaxing location after those busy activities. We highly recommend this vacation house, and hope to be able to come back soon ourselves!!

This house is in a great location in Manhattan Beach. The beach is a second away, food, bars, and other amenities are also walking distance. The house was plenty big for the 5 of us and includes tons of amenities as well. The kitchen and living areas are very large and comfortable and located on the top floor so you can enjoy the beatiful manahttan beach breeze all throughout the day. We spent a wonderful two weeks in this gorgeous house. It's literally steps to the beach, and is both immaculate and decorated like something from Metropolitan Home. We were able to enjoy everything that Manhattan Beach has to offer. Would love to return.

Being a seasoned traveler, traveling all over the world for over 40 years this trip rates in my top 10, the accommodations in the TOP 5!!! Having stayed at the best hotels in the world, the accommodations of this luxury home rivals the best. A place you can stay for VIPS yet at half the cost. It was truly an amazing vacation. The town of Manhattan Beach is an amazing place. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the beach along the Southern California Coast. There is no need to mention anything about the property. The explanation is self evident when compared to places such as The Ritz and The Four Seasons. And true to form you could not ask for more in an owner as she bent over backwards to insure we had everything we needed and wanted. I cannot say enough about the town, the property and the owner. I recommend this place very highly!

Wonderful house. Completely done, you can't get much closer to the beach, all the amenities. Recommended...we loved it.
