Just got back from our long weekend at Del Mar. This condo was perfect for our family. Anything you might need is provided. We were traveling with a 15 mos old child. The master bedroom closet was big enough to put his crib in, shut the door and it was quiet and dark.The 2nd bathroom was a huge bonus.We spent a lot of time walking the beach, park and town.Everything is in walking distance, even a small quaint grocery store. Would highly recommend this condo although I hesitate to do so because I want it available when we come back!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The owners were very cordial, accommodating, and detailed. We rented for two weeks and had not one negative issue with anything. The property was very clean, all the technology was current (cell booster, wifi, dvd, flat screens, etc.) and having the garage parking is a bonus. The property is ideal for a family of four or a couple looking to explore all that southern California has to offer. We have been visiting Del Mar for ten years now and this is, in our opinion, the best location for many reasons. As an example, with staying at this L’Auberge Chateau condo, one has access to the amenities of the L’Auberge Del Mar Resort. These include the pool, restaurants, fitness center, business center, concierge staff, car services, and more. We enjoyed having a very short walk to the beach / Powerhouse Park and being less than a mile from the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. Also, Torrey Pines State Reserve, Torrey Pines Golf Course, Rancho Santa Fe and La Jolla are all within a few minutes drive of the property. If you’re looking for a special place to stay at while visiting the great area of Del Mar, this is it.

My family (wife and two teenaged children) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The posted description of the condo is very accurate, and the location to the beach as well as other San Diego destinations is terrific. The condo owners were very accommodating and responsive to our inquiries. If you desire the comfort of a fully equipped apartment and the amenities of an adjacent 5-star resort, L'Auberge Condo's, particuarly this unit, is the perfect selection. We hope to visit again, soon!

We enjoyed this condo for a week in June and would recommend it without hesitation. It had all of the necessary amenities from beach toys/chairs to spices/condiments for cooking to WiFi. It was not lacking anything for our family of 4 and the location was perfect for our needs - a short walk to the beach, a short walk to downtown Del Mar, and easy access to all things San Diego. Our kids especially enjoyed being able to use the pool and hot tub at L'Auberge and we enjoyed sitting by the pool and bar! Laurie, the owner, was very responsive and when the parking pass was missing she went to great lengths to make sure it was replaced though we did not really need it since parking was available underground. The condo itself is nicely furnished with comfortable beds and was very clean. It does not get a lot of sun since it is essentially below ground level, but the porch did get filtered sunlight. We highly recommend it for location and amenities and hope to enjoy it again sometime!

This condo is exceptionally well located, close to an excellent swimming beach and nearby restaurants. It is very clean plus it has all of the amenities of the adjacent hotel (including tennis courts, pool & jacuzzi). We found it very comfortable for a family of four adults, providing everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation. The Owner was especially accommodating and responsive, which made all of the arrangements very easy.

Condo was absolutely perfect! Neat, clean, and fully functional condo was a home away from home. Easy access to terrific beach for my 3 year old and my husband who surfs. Spent a day at the zoo and a day at Seaworld - both 15-20 min drive. Walk to great restaurants and Farmer's Market.Hotel access another major plus - pool, workout room, bar/restaurant. Highly recommend and would love to return.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a three month stay at the Chateau! We took full advantage of the pool, tennis courts, hottub and workout facility. The condo was in the perfect location to explore the town of Del Mar and of course the ocean! The owners were quite prompt and very friendly in answering any question we had. They provided all the supplies we needed for a very fun beach stay and to create our own meals in the kitchen. The only concern we had was the poor cell phone reception (AT&T) within the condo. We had to walk out to the patio to talk on the phone.

Owner response:If your cell phone carrier's reception is not good please know that there is a telephone (land line) in the condo for our guest's use.

Our rental was during the month of March and we enjoyed everything about the unit, its location at the L'Auberge Resort and the Village of Del Mar. The owners' pictures and write up on VRBO accurately reflected what we found when we arrived and the owner responded immediately to our questions as we settled in. My wife and I highly recommend this unit and we hope to return yearly.

Our family had a wonderful time in this condo. The location is perfect as we were in close proximity to all of our favorite Del Mar spots! We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio. It was a very peaceful place. The condo itself is very comfortable and well equipped. We felt very much at home :)
