Wonderful Condo in Beautiful Blowing Rock.

My wife and I just returned from a week long visit at this beautiful condo. We were so impressed with the layout and the amenities, from the dishware to the bedding and decor. It was like staying over at a good friend's condo, it was that well appointed. We enjoyed our evening cocktails on the deck overlooking the gorgeous mountains each evening as the sun was setting. The kitchen was well stocked and the layout was perfect. We are walkers and golfers. We could walk to town in about 15 minutes and it is a beautiful route. We also hiked to Bass lake and up to the Moses Cone Manor house. That is an excellent workout if you enjoy hiking. If you prefer to drive it is just a short drive to Bass Lake on Rt. 221. The Moses Cone Manor House is a must see. It is now a local artist guild with beautiful handmade art from local artists and the scenery from the mountain top is breathtaking. Another enjoyable day trip was to the Banner Elk Winery. We were very impressed with the wines that are being produced in the local area. The condo is in a very convenient location to the grocery store and liquor store and to the many area restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful with whatever questions we may have had. I would highly recommend this condo rental without hesitation. We will definitely be returning guests!

The walk to Main Street in Blowing Rock is an easy and fun way to get to there.

What a wonderful condo this was!!! We were all so extremely happy when we opened the door and saw this condo. The pictures on this site are nice but it far exceeded our expectations when we actually saw it. It was clean, cozy, comfortable and well stocked. It was the kind of rental that you don't want to leave. The view from the back balcony is incredible!! We walked to town and it was an easy walk on the sidewalk all the way. Blowing Rock and the areas around it are charming . The restaurants and shops were all great. The owner was easy to work with and had everything organized and ready for us. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!! We are planning our next trip back for next year.

Have never stayed at a nicer place, and the view is breathtaking. Property owners are a joy to work with and extremely helpful in answering any questions. Thanks to the owners and this wonderful property, my wife and I had the best anniversary trip we've ever had. Don't know any way it could have been a better experience. The description of the property was right on target; however, the pictures do not do justice to how nice the place really is. It is in immaculate condition and superbly decorated. It's within easy walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock. It is convenient to all the restaurants and attractions in the area, which are all within just a few minutes walk or drive (depending upon where you're headed). Knight's On Main is a great restaurant for home cooking, and they have hearty breakfasts. The Bistro Roca has a chef who makes up an impressive selection of dishes for dinner and couples it with a great atmosphere. The Daniel Boone Inn in Boone serves family style and will keep bringing food until you cannot hold any more. Boone Drug on Main Street in Boone has a real soda fountain that is a throwback to days gone by, with sandwiches, floats, and other fare that will take older folks back to their childhood. For people from farther east and down the mountain, the barbecue at Pappy's (between Boone and Banner Elk) is as good as any you can get outside of Lexington, N.C. Woodlands Barbecue is right on 321 in Blowing Rock and the live entertainment they have every evening is worth the trip. The Mast General Store is on the way to Pappy's and just a few minutes outside of Boone. Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, and LInville Falls are just a few minutes farther down the road. The actual Blowing Rock is almost within a stone's throw from the condo. Tweetsie Railroad, about half way between Blowing Rock and Boone is a treat for the young and young at heart (at least once). There are lots more things to do and many more places to eat nearby to suit every interest and taste. Our favorite time to go is during a time when Art in the Park is there for the weekend. Highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again soon.

FANTASTIC "BLOWING ROCK" AUTUMN EXPERIENCE! OCTOBER 2010

WONDERFUL, LOVELY, PANORAMIC! What an amazing four nights we enjoyed mid-October 2010 in Blowing Rock while Mother Nature and this little pictureque town celebrated the most "WONDERFUL" leaf season we've ever witnessed! This "LOVELY, totally upscale condo with "PANORAMIC' views of John's Gorge is located in the most desirable area of Blowing Rock---an area we love best. The condo was like new and there was nothing not to like! It was immaculate, and professionally decorated with a tasteful mountain flair--no thrift store cast-offs here! Having the latest in electroinics, gas fireplace, laundry appliances as well as the best linens and kichen appointments enhanced our stay! The roomy walk-in closet and the huge master Jacuzzi tub were pleasant surprises! We look forward to visiting this comfortable and stylish residence again as we love Blowing Rock and especially the pleasure to enjoy morning coffee overlooking the most incredible mountain views anywhere!

Fabulous 'home away from home'! Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo with so many. It is in a perfect location, gorgeous view (even if it's foggy). we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in blowing rock. the condo is immaculate; pictures cant show the true beauty of it! the view of the gorge is breathtaking, especially at night when the lights twinkle in the distance. we will hopefully return for another stay in the near future. this condo is highly recommended by my husband & i.

Our stay in your condo was very relaxing and comfortable...just like home. We enjoyed your quality decorating and furnishings. The beds were very comfortable. The view was awesome and we enjoyed seeing the fog in the mountains every morning. We appreciated the convenience of being close to downtown and the restaurants. The view off the deck was amazing as we enjoyed seeing the many ridge lines of the mountains. Your condo was exceptionally clean and one of the best we have rented from VRBO. You will be at the top of our list for rentals in the Blowing Rock area.

Dear Susan and Blake, What a wonderful time we had staying at your perfectly located condo! It was so charming and had all the amenities needed for our stay of one month. We enjoyed the deck, the easy walk into town, and the proximity to the hiking trails off the Blue Ridge Parkway. We often went into Boone to use the library computers and of course to visit the Stick Boy Bread Company. There were lots of grocery stores there with wonderful choices if we did not want to go to the one nearby. We also visited the Turchin museum on King St. near the University. Since we were hikers, we enjoyed the picnic lunches we had after our hikes.Needless to say, the weather was perfect for our needs and hope to come back for another visit.
