Our 9 cabins are located near Front Royal, Virginia, the Canoe Capital of Virginia and where Skyline Drive begins...
Only 10 miles from downtown Front Royal and 10 miles off Interstate I-66 – and just 60 miles directly west of Washington, DC.
Hot Tub Heaven, open year round, offers (2) Full-size beds / (1) bath. We’re dog friendly and are situated only minutes away from the Appalachian Trail, our community lake, Deer Lake, and our local mountain winery, Fox Meadow Vineyard... with dozens of other wineries all within 20 minutes of the cabins. Our cabin is a fully-equipped home with its own wonderful hot tub.
We're located only minutes from Shenandoah National Park, Shenandoah River State Park and the start of Skyline Drive. Each season of the year has its own charm and attractions: canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, antiquing, golfing and fishing. We look forward to accommodating you on a special mountain vacation!
Front Royal, VA - The Canoe Capital of Virginia: Warren County is known as the Canoe Capital of Virginia, thanks in part to the 39 miles of scenic waterways better known as the North and South forks of the Shenandoah River that meet just west of the town of Front Royal, and the main river that continues toward Clarke County, northward.
The North and South forks of the river meet at Riverton, west of Front Royal, where it heads north to Clarke County, and ultimately, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, where it meets the Potomac River. In Warren County the river offers calm waters for a leisurely canoe ride and rapids ideal for kayaking. Boating, rafting and tubing also are popular.
Skyline Drive / Shenandoah National Park: Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah National Park bring more visitors to Warren County than any other attraction. The park and drive extend 105 miles over mountain tops from Afton in the south to Front Royal in the north, and parallel a 95-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail. The park draws more than 2 million visitors a year; about 500,000 of them enter at the Front Royal entrance on US 340, about a quarter-mile south of the town.
The 195,000-acre park combines protected mountain land with trails and beautiful views. The park's trails, varying from short walks to 12-hour hikes, intersect with waterfalls, streams, old home sites and scenic vistas. Wildflowers, more than 205 species of birds, white-tailed deer and black bear abound.
Admission to the park is $10 per car and $5 for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists. An annual park pass is available for $20.
Fishing the Shenandoah River : Fishing: The South Fork of the Shenandoah River is one of the nation's best for smallmouth and largemouth bass, rockbass, redbreast sunfish, bluegill, muskellunge and channel catfish. The North Fork, meanwhile, offers anglers smallmouth bass and redbreast sunfish, and the mainstream offers all species except muskellunge.
State residents age 16 and over are required to obtain a fishing license before fishing on inland waters. Nonresidents over age 12 need a license. All persons needing a license also need to purchase a National Forest stamp when fishing in waters within the boundary of the Washington and Jefferson National Forest, except on the North and South forks of the Shenandoah River. Licenses are sold at authorized agents located throughout the county, but not at the county clerk's office.

From the first to last moment we were here we were completely charmed by your Chalet. Being a lover of bright colors and having continually traveled for 18 months in 'beige' hotels, my fancies were tickled to get to sleep in a blue bedroom with lovely hand painted stools and groovy lighting. Every amenity has been so carefully thought out from the beautiful forest view, to the hot tub, the great deck, excellent grill, outdoor deck, to the lovely open living room, the huge TV to the completely stocked kitchen &&&&&&&&&&… we loved it!!!!!!!!!!!! I know if we're ever back this way from Texas this is where we'll stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A nice, long weekend to spend together and a nice place to spend it! The 22nd of May was our 5th anniversary. We left our two children with their grandparents. We relaxed, canoed, shopped, drove part of Skyline Drive and hiked. We had most of our meals here at the Chalet. We enjoyed delicious grilled food. The hot tub was fun. My favorite part of the Chalet was all the plants. They are nice and healthy. Keep it up! I grew up in the woods and we now live on a semi-wooded lot. But we never tire of trees! Thanks for sharing this place with us!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful time! We especially enjoyed the décor, painting and furniture inside the Chalet. Of course, we LOVED the hot tub and found it difficult to get out. The fireplace was beautiful as well as the scenery. The records and DVD player were nice touches and the board games helped us pass the time on rainy days. The rooms are very comfortable. It is very convenient because of the basic staple foods you've provided. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation! PS We loved the bathroom décor especially. P.S.S. We would love to come back soon. Thanks a bunch for your hospitality. Watch for beautiful deer!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I booked HTH #8 for our first anniversary as a surprise to my wife. Upon getting there and walking in, my wife started to tear up because the house and surroundings were just so beautiful. Our entire stay was amazing, whether it was driving to the different wineries nearby, or just relaxing int he hot tub! Can't wait to go back!!!Did you find this review helpful? We had a great time! It was very hard for us to find a pet friendly place to go and getaway from it all. I have to say I was quit suprised how clean it was. I'm all ready trying to find the time to go back in the fall for the change in weather. We will be back with friends and family. We have told everyone we meet about Hot Tub HeavenDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a wonderful place you have! We could have not asked for anything more romantic. We spent the entire weekend in the hot tub. We hardly ever left the chalet. It is so romantic, cozy, clean and so well equipped with everthing we needed. We loved the record collection and the big screen TV. A pat on the back for the design team! WOW... how relaxing. The massage was absolutely REMARKABLE!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Why the Owner Chose Front Royal:
We love this area and opened Hot Tub Heaven on Blue Mountain because the Shenandoah National Park is the number one reason people from around the world visit our area. Guests will also enjoy visiting Skyline Drive, Shenandoah River State Park, State Arboretum of Virginia and right at the top of our mountain - a short distance from any cabin - is the Appalachian Trail!
Trail hiking is popular year round, as is bird and wildlife watching!
Hot Tub Heaven is in the heart of Virginia Wine country! Explore dozens of wineries within 30 minutes of the Chalet! Including our mountain winery, Fox Meadow. Wineries like Fox Meadow, Rappahannock Cellars, Naked Mountain and several others are open 7-days a week. On weekends, the possibilities are limitless.
Skyline Caverns and Luray Caverns are also must sees and short drive from Hot Tub Heaven. Guests should also consider day trips to places like New Market and America's Celebration on Parade, Shenandoah Caverns (the only cavern in the valley with an elevator), the Natural Bridge, Monticello, Walton's Mountain, Montpellier, Manassas Battlefield and even Washington, DC.
Since the Shenandoah Valley is where a large share of the Civil War Battles occurred, there are several driving tours, such as the Battles of Front Royal, Cedar Creek, Fishers Hill, New Market, and Winchester, Kernstown, Rappahannock County and Harper's Ferry.
The Walking tours of Front Royal, Winchester, Luray are excellent ways to experience the various rich histories amid a relaxed do it at your own pace atmosphere.
Driving scenic roads (such as Fort Valley Road) and exploring small towns like Syria, Little Washington, Sperryville, Shenandoah, Rileyville, and a million other such towns and hamlets in the Valley.
Visits to Belle Grove Plantation, (540) 869-2028 or Long Branch Estate (888) 558-5567 or the Virginia Arboretum (540) 837-1758 are always recommended.
Antiquing and shopping are always fun and in abdance in our area.
