A Perfect Getaway

My wife and I and 6 kids stayed at this lovely cottage for 5 days in mid-August. What a wonderful place! The house is beautifully decorated and furnished and is very spacious and comfortable - it is much nicer in person than you can tell from the pictures and has just about every thoughtful amenity imaginable (a favorite was the outdoor shower). The location was peaceful, quiet (with the exception of 1 night when the renters 2 doors down had an all-night beach party), has stunning views, perfect combination of sun & shade, and is a 10 minute drive from Leamington which has all the major stores. Plus the whole area is very picturesque with rolling farms, greenland and greenhouses. We saw some wildlife we had never seen before, including an adorable hummingbird which loves the flowers on the left side of the deck and a "Walking Stick" which parked itself on the door to the garage for 2 days. Some neighbors down the street have a stable and we were thrilled to see horses about 100 yards down on the beach - we brought the kids down to see them and the friendly owners offered our kids to sit on the horses barebacked! (too bad my kids were too scared for that). The sunrise over the water was breathtaking, as was the full moon shining over the calm rippling waves. One of our best highlights: Toasting marshmallows over the campfire on the beach before sunset (as Phyllis warned - watch out for mosquitoes at dusk - we all have plenty of bites to prove it). It was well worth the 5+ hour drive and we plan to return hopefully very soon.
Owner response:Jeffry and Family, Thank you for taking the time to rate your stay! I am blessed to know of the many things you were able to see and do. It was an honor to have you and your family as a guest and I DO look forward to your return visit. Happy vacationing!

This place is Super Cute! Everything was very clean & neat when we arrived. Everything we needed was there as well (from forgotten toothpaste to dishes, etc. Stacked washer/dryer combo) We had 4 Adults and 2 children, a great time was had by all. We had privacy at the beach and beauty in the cottage. The kids were able to watch TV as well as play in the sand. We had a lovely bbq on the back deck, Just a really enjoyable relaxing time. I would highly recommend anyone to check this place out!!
Owner response:Hi Amie, Thank you for taking the time to offer your recommendation! I am so happy the children had fun AND the Mom's could relax knowing the children were safe and having fun. Thanks for staying and I DO hope you return again and again! Blessings, Phyllis
