Located in the Village of Sugar Mountain, this cabin, completed in 2007, is less than 2 miles to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. With an elevation of over 4600 feet, cool breezes tantalize the spirit in summer, bring brilliant hues in autumn, and lush snow in winter.
This spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage cabin, can accommodate up to 8 guests. Enjoy the beautiful mountain views of Sugar and Beech Mountain, including gorgeous sunsets, from the comfortable rocking chairs on the top deck. Or take in the lush nature from the swing located on the bottom deck and the large backyard which is a perfect place for the kids to play. Ample parking for up to 5 cars.
The main floor master bedroom features a king size bed, two nightstands, dresser including TV/DVD player, a large walk-in closet and private master bathroom including a shower, two vanities, and jacuzzi jet hot tub for two.
On the main floor, the large open floor plan offers a great room, dining room and kitchen. The living area offers a wood-burning fireplace, a 42-inch LCD flat screen TV with cable service, DVD player, a stereo system and wireless internet access. The large wood-covered ceiling add the warmth of this soaring vaulted wood ceilings continue to add to the charm and warm character of the cabin. Enjoy beautiful views right from the couch or rocking chair in the living room.
This floor also accommodates another half bathroom as well as a separate laundry room, including full size washer and dryers.
Downstairs is additional two bedrooms and full bathroom that leads to the 2nd floor deck and backyard. The 2nd bedroom has a queen-size bed, dresser, and two nightstands, as well as a TV/VCR combo, with cable service. The 3rd bedroom features a set of bunk beds, a small sofa and large closet to accommodate its residents. In addition, there is a queen size air mattress to accommodate 2 additional guests if needed.
With more than 1,800 square feet, this cabin is the perfect getaway for families and small groups wishing to escape their hectic day-to-day lives. Enjoy the beautiful tranquil views of the lush nature and mountains from the private rear deck and spot wildlife, including many species of birds, wild turkeys, chipmunks, squirrels, and groundhogs. For the more adventurous, you can walk or mountain bike down a nature trail that begins in the backyard of the cabin, or take a quick drive to many of the attractions and activities near by.
During the winter months, the Sugar Mountain Resort is less than 2 miles away offering several ski slopes, tubing, snowboarding, and ice skating. In addition, Ski Beech is located approx. 10 miles north of the cabin, which is another popular ski destination.
During the rest of the year, there is no shortage of activities. Banner Elk, which is about 7 minutes away, offers shopping, a good selection of restaurants, a live theatre and other activities. In addition, drive into Boone (less than 15 minutes) for miniature golf, shopping, movie theatres, and a huge selection of restaurants or beautiful Blowing Rock less than 25 minutes away. Enjoy many close-by attractions, including the Historic Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad Amusement Park (great for the kids), Grandfather Mountain, the Linville Caverns, and Valle Crucis (home to the oldest General Store in the USA). During the summer months, also enjoy white-water rafting, canoing, or for those seeking a thrill, try the new Zip line!

Why the Owner Chose Sugar Mountain
We wanted a place where we could jump into a car as a family and enjoy all the different seasons throughout the year. There are so many things to do in the Sugar Mountain/Banner Elk, whether it is skiing, white water rafting, hiking, fishing, or just nature viewing. Frankly, we just fell in love with the breath taking views and to be able to get away from the city life and enjoy the relaxation.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Huddling by the fire place in the winter with a hot cup of coffee/chocolate. Sitting on the balcony on a summer or fall day and looking at the mountain tops while a breathing in the cool fresh air. Looking out at stars at night without the lights of the city blocking them. Having dedicated family time together!!

We drove from south Florida and arrived to the house the morning of Dic 23th, the house Its absolutely beautiful, clean, great view, great location (5-10 min away from sugar mountain). We had a great time, and planning to go back.

I have stayed at this house 4 years in a row and its a wonderful experience each and every time and I plan on going back each and every year. The location is fantastic. It is on Sugar Mountain, which has had great skiiing for 2 years in a rown when I have gone and a great tubing hill. Just down the mountain, within blocks, there are several restaurants (Italian, Chinese, BBQ, steak place, McDonalds...). There are also 2 grocery stores and a liquor store within a few blocks. There is really no need to travel very far for anything once you are at the cabin. If you do want to venture out, Banner Elk is within a 15 minute drive and both Blowing Rock & Boone are within a 30 minute drive. It is truly a great location. The house itself is immaculate and seems brand new. It is very spacious for a family or multiple families (there are 3 bedrooms). Wi-fi and tv's in every room. Great views of Sugar Mountain from the family room. A great driveway for sledding if you are going in the winter. I havent been in the Summer, but Ive heard there is a ton to do in the area in the Summer. I would recommend this house to anyone and have done so already. My stay at this cabin was truly a winter wonderland with my family! We had a great time, the cabin was well maintained and beautifully decorated. The view was spectacular and breathtaking. The location is centrally located and close to the restaraunts, sugar mountain ski resort and just a short drive to Beech Mountain Ski Resort. I would recommend this cabin if you are planning a trip to the mountains! The owner was succint and accomodating, I would stay here again if planning another trip. The cabin was amazing!

I stayed at this place with my family for a few days in the summer, and enjoyed it so much we came back in the winter. Modern, with all the amenities of a high end property, but really cozy and warm at the same time. Family room is awesome, with great views from everywhere. At the bottom of of the mountain is a great Italian restaurant and grocery store, and the town of Banner Elk. Short drive to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, and Beech mountain. Place is kept really neat, has flat screen TV above fireplace and wi-fi. There is actually a path from backyard that can be hiked.
