My husband and I had a great stay at the Gunshor's townhouse. We've stayed in Basalt in the past, but always at a hotel, We really enjoyed the flexibility of having "our own" home away from home, to prepare meals, have a soak in the hot tub, and just hang out in the very comfy living room after our usually long days out in pursuit of trout in the many river options for flyfishing in the area! We really appreciated the information you provided for local area's for shopping and eating, and suggest you add 'Bernard's Bistro' to the list of places to eat in Basalt. a really quaint, small bistro, with fabulous food and great ambiance. We had a really exceptional dinner there with my sister and her husband (who live in Denver) and my sister and I had a really nice lunch there the next day! thanks again, and we hope to return again some time in the near future! My family stayed here from July 15th thru 20th and found the condo to be quite comfortable and child friendly. We had an infant with us and the owners have literally everything on hand for small children. The condo was clean and very convenient to both Basalt and Aspen. If you're a fly fisherman...this is your place. The condo is literally 50 yards from the Roaring Fork public access with a number of great little holes within walking distance. The Frying Pan is all of 10 minutes drive up the road in downtown Basalt. We'll be back next year for the Green Drake Hatch.

We stayed here Memorial Day weekend in 2010. It was clean and comfortable. The listing was accurate and it had a very nice location close to HWY 82, and almost halfway between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. As we were two families vacationing together we found the unit to be very family friendly and was equipped with a pack and play, high chair and one baby gate. The living areas were open and cozy, and the internet and TV were easy to use. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. There was beautiful pottery throughout the home, and for the dishes. The only complaint I have was that the outdoor patio space had yet to be cleaned after the winter and the furniture was so dirty you couldn't sit on it. I wasn't about to clean it, seeing as we were paying a $75 cleaning fee. The hot tub was only heated to about 65F, as well, but only took a couple hours to warm up to 100F. If it weren't for the outdoor area being dirty, I would have given this rental 5 stars. I would stay here again, and and I would recommend this property to anyone.
