It’s been almost a year since we spent a week in beautiful Caracol, located on the point of the private community of Punta del Burro, almost an hour north of Puerto Vallarta. It is a week that friends and family will never, ever forget, as my husband and I were able to exchange wedding vows at sunset on this beautiful property. The owners could not have been more accommodating, flexible and incredibly friendly. Their staff went above and beyond to assist us ... 100% professionals. The communication with both the owners of the property and staff was fast, incredible and reliable. Every day the home was beautifully maintained, and it was ensured that we would have a comfortable, relaxing week (yes, even with a wedding!) We have been traveling to this community for about four years now since our family also has property in the community, and we constantly recommend it to friends. In fact, our friends still say it one was of the best vacations and celebrations they have ever been apart of! If we weren’t in the midst of a possible move, we would be back again this holiday season! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the wonderful owners … For travelers: We would recommend taking day trips to Sayulita and San Pancho - good beach, surfing, whale watching, margarita drinking, etc. For excellent dining, try heading to the small towns of La Cruz and Bucerias. Unless you are OK with staying put in the community and cooking meals, we would strongly suggest renting a car.

We had the best, most memorable vacation at this beachfront villa. The owners built this villa with special attention to every detail, from the indoor/outdoor feeling throughout the villa and soaring ceilings to the infinity pool and jacuzzi. Every room and balcony has a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, and it is so relaxing to listen to the waves rolling onto the beach from the villa. We have enjoyed some of the most luxurious accommodations in Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, but this villa surpasses them all. We surfed daily from the beach just beyond the infinity pool and a short walk from the villa. The surfing, like everything else, was spectacular. To remind us of the great memories we made on our vacation, we have pictures on our wall at home which were taken at sunset on the beach with very special friends who enjoyed the vacation with us. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with a glimpse of heaven from every view, then this is the choice for you. The villa has 3 large bedrooms and plenty of living space, so it is perfect for a family, a couple and for sharing the experience with friends.

Our stay at La Casa Caracol was more than perfect. We felt like true royalty having our own private vacation spot tucked away in a tropical forest. The views were breathtaking and the private beach was perfect for a little morning exercise. The surrounding towns were great for shopping and for a real taste of authentic Mexican cuisine. La Casa Caracol is the true definition of Paradise.

The house is beautiful and the beach in front is lovely. The sea breezes and sounds of the waves are wonderful to wake up to. Simultaneously bathing in the infinity pool and seeing humpback whales in the Bay of Banderas and was spectacular. This is a gorgeous place to stay.

My husband and I went here for our 10th anniversary and it was so worth it! So relaxing and peaceful, and having your own personal cook was great too! We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening from the pool-just wonderful! Not enough words to say how great this place is! Paradise!

My wife and I have rented this Villa for 3-4 weeks in the winter for 4 years now. It's truly amazing. The house itself is gorgeous, wonderfully decorated and very well maintained. State side it would be a $10M property in LA, Miami or the Hampton's. The area is really great. Still very rural but close to great surfing beaches, restaurants, golf and some really picturesque Mexican small towns like La Cruz, Sayulita and San Pancho. The house itself is set at the base of a section of jungle that opens up to a lovely private beach that's shared by small collection of luxury villas. It's extremely private and uncrowded. If there are 5 people on the beach at any one time its a busy day. The Four Season and a new St. Regis resort are just up the road a few miles which make great day trips for lunch, day spa, whatever. We'd suggest renting a car for sure if you are going to stay for more than a couple of days. There are some fantastic towns in the area that are 30 minutes to an hour away that are really worth visiting. If you are looking to visit Mexico the way it used to be, this is it. No t-shirt shops. No tourists. No time shares. We stay at some pretty nice places all over the world and this Villa beats them all. We'll be back next year.
