My husband and stayed here a couple of nights this past weekend (with my little mother) and really wish we'd stayed at least one more night. We were so busy with the family party that brought us to Smithville, that we really didn't have time to enjoy the many benefits this little piece of paradise has to offer. We will ALWAYS try to stay here when we go to Smithville for other family events as it is just SO comfortable, clean and well maintained. I can't wait to return and put in a kayak and float down the Colorado (have someone pick me up somewhere downstream -- that looks to be one strong current!). The beach is as described, very wide and welcoming! I am so glad we found Camp David on the Colorado!! One note of warning: this is TEXAS and there are fireants, so watch your step!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

This is a wonderful accommodation located in the heart of the " Toscano" region in the historic and cosmopolitan city of Certaldo. It is centrally located to many of the ancient walled cities and Etruscan historical sites of central Italy. Travel to these sites by train, bus or auto is easy and comfortable. The surrounding rolling countryside is generously dotted with vineyards, wineries, farms and the picturesque villages of the Chanti region of Tuscany. Adriano & Lucia Mussetti are most warm and gracious hosts and the comfort and convenience of the property is incomparable.Jay & Kay Cleveland
