  My family and I just returned from a week vacation at Rio de Looney and we had a wonderful time!! The property is beautiful and the house is nice and very well equipped. The owners were so nice and helpful. My grandchildren really enjoyed playing ping-pong and swimming and the adults just "Vegged Out"! This is one of the most relaxing vacations we have had!

  I visited Rio de Looney with 4 of my girlfriends, June 12- 17, for our annual girl's getaway. We had a wonderful time. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The river had a lot of water (over our heads) in spots. Be sure to bring water shoes and flotation devices. The rocks are slippery too, so be careful. The owners were very accommodating and was glad to answer any and all questions. We went into town, to Fredericksburg, and to Castell and everyone was very nice and friendly. We definitely hope to return soon. The home was as pictured and I would definitely recommend this property wanting to stay on the river in Llano.

  An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Very clean, neat, well furnished and outfitted with everything a person needs and then some! My husband and I enjoyed a very quiet, comfortable stay. The river was flowing and clear so we spent time fishing and just sitting in the swing at the river and appreciating the solitude and serenity of the early mornings and late evenings. The owner was a delight to deal with. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to enjoy a country get away with all the comforts of home. Looking forward to our next visit!

  We have stayed in rentals for more than twenty years and have had some really great one, however, this was the best. It is everything advertised and more. The owner goes beyond the call of duty to help you. We will be back again and again.

  We have been renting for twenty years and have found some great places, however, this is the best. Everything promised is true. Great house, river and land. The owner goes way beyond what is expected to help you. Will be back again and again.

  Two couples of seniors - stayed here twice so far in winter. Quiet and secluded. Mostly just watched the birds and river. Very relaxing. Looks like good swimming if you visit in summer. You won't be disappointed.

  I reserved this for my best friend's birthday, and she put it best. If she could custom order a house to stay in, this would meet every request. The river was beautiful, the proximity of the river was ideal, the swing by the river, the screened in porch, the coziness, yet openness of the house, the style of the house, etc., etc. It was absolutely a wonderfully charming surprise. I agreed with everything she said! And, for me, dealing with the owners was very pleasant - an added bonus! We will definitely be back.

  Our second trip back in the last year and we just can not say enough about this place. The beds are amazing, the screened in porch is wonderful, and the river (although low right now because of Texas drought) is perfect for many different reasons. We love the quiet and peacefulness that this property provides. The extras are great too...ping pong table, wonderful kitchen, stars at night from the chairs outside that lean back for perfect viewing, swing down by the river, views for pictures and much more. We highly suggest spending a Saturday night at the Castell General Store for local interaction, and a drive into Llano for a trip to Llaneaux Seafood House for the fried Crawfish Tails. You won't be sorry! Thank you to the Looney's. We hope to be back over and over and over....

  Rio de Looney is a delight! From the minute you drive in, you know you have arrived in a very special place. The photos were accurate and the amenities were perfect. The only thing missing in the well appointed kitchen was a working can opener. The beds were dreamy and the night sky....magic! The fireplace in the house as well as the outdoor fire pit were put to good use for our Christmas visit. Nearby activities are many and would highly recommend Enchanted Rock. House cleaning could be improved (dusty). Would recommend this property to family and friends in a minute!

  The house is perfect for relaxing, enjoying the scenery, the wildlife, fishing & close to Llano or Castell for supplies or additional things to do. We had everything we needed for a much needed respite. We will recommend this place to all our friends looking for a beautiful getaway in the Hill Country
