Location: Luray, Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, USA
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 5-7)
Keywords: Riverfront, Cabin
Our cabin at Bear River Valley has everything you want to augment your relaxation in the peaceful harmony of the Shenandoah River.
Sit around the campfire with your feet in the river, listening to the calls of 100 different birds. Free canoes sit nearby for your immediate use. Make sure to grab the oars and life jackets from the shed before heading out!
A full acre of open yard, from the house to the river, gives you plenty of space to setup your soccer game or volleyball net.
A brand new, 7-foot hot tub was recently installed with over 45 jets. This hot tub, from one of the top manufacturers in the business, is great for evening relaxation or morning soak. And while you soak, look out across the river and mountains.
On the top level of the deck, a large commercial-grade gas grill is waiting for your hot dogs, hamburgers and steaks. Want a more authentic outdoor grill? In the mood for roasting marshmallows or a late-night chat? We have just the thing. In the middle of the lawn is a stone campfire pit, over 6 feet in diameter. Find all the wood you need next to the shed, and pick up the lawn chairs from inside the shed.
In the shed, we 've placed 4 mountain bikes for those days when you want to head down the road and check out nature one spin at a time. Be sure to grab the helmets too!
The cabin is also outfitted with the best technology has to offer. Satellite TV in every room with 200 channels of crystal-clear satellite service. FREE LONG DISTANCE phone calls. DVD and VCR player in every room. Free washer and dryer.
We 've installed a whole-house filtration system that routes all water from the well directly through a series of five different filters. It also runs through a commercial grade softener. You can drink directly from any faucet in the house (and it might even be better than what you 've got at home!).
We've even paid for local trash service so you don't have to lug all that stuff home with you.

We had a blast. This place is great for kids and couples. My husband and I came out on our own last year, but we decided to bring the kids this year after we saw how much stuff there was to do. Even though it's close to Luray and the Shenandoah Skline, you don't even have to leave the property to have loads of fun.

Everything that the owners say on the listing is accurate and there's even a bunch of stuff they don't mention that's great. For instance, we stumbled on a notebook of movies with hundreds of movies in it - great for a rainy day. The hot tub was sublime. The canoes were great. I can't say enough about this place.

We had a great time at this cabin. It was perfect for our little family gettaway. I have 2 sons (8 &10 ) and a daughter that is 1. The boys and my husband loved the river access and the canoes. My daughter and I loved the big yard and the swing on the porch just relaxing. The hot tub was perfect and in a great spot with a wonderful view of the river. We will definetely visit this cabin again some time soon.

We recently spent several days at this cabin. It is a great cabin in a terrific location! The cabin was immaculate, had three nice TVS and DVD players, high quality sheets and towels, and provided anything you could think of or want. We really enjoyed the canoes, the hot tub, the bikes and the campfire area. The river is shallow at this location, so you can wade into the river to fish. The view of the river is lovely from the cabin. There were also tubes provided and folding lawn chairs, and also a nice gas grill. This is truly a place to get away from it all - very relaxing and peaceful. The owners and the caretaker are very friendly, helpful and nice to deal with. The rental company is also nice to deal with. Luray Caverns are close by and very nice to visit. The rental company has discount tickets available, which was helpful. Walmart and Food Lion are close by also, which is nice for grocery shopping. We hated to leave, and plan to return when we can. Oh - we saw lots of deer and other wildlife, too.

This is a terrific cabin in a beautiful location! The cabin was immaculate and the inside is like new. Everything you could possibly think of was provided for our enjoyment. It is a wonderful place to "get away from it all", yet is is not far from Luray Caverns and other activities, and also grocery stores such as WalMart and Food Lion. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back.

BEAUTIFUL stretch of river front. Could not be more peaceful and relaxing. We've been here twice this year already. The view out the front or along the river is to die for. I want to BUY this cabin and retire here.

This one is a new one - just added within the year. In as few words as possible, the inside is beautiful and the outside is peaceful. You will want for nothing and only wish that you had booked it for longer periods of time so you can try out all the amenities. I will be coming back next year and the year after. See ya then!
