Why the Owner Chose Minneapolis
Having lived next door for over 30 years, we had considered buying the home for family member use at various times, but then had an opportunity when the neighbors were suddenly transferred out of town for business. We targeted the house specifically for international and corporate relocation families, and have developed some great continuing friendships with our guests. Being right next door, it has been very convenient for us to attend to the property and assist guests when needed.
The Unique Benefits at this House

The house has a very spacious feel, and has several different areas for members of even large groups of guests to enjoy their own relaxation and privacy. There are so many good things to say about our experience in this home that I am not sure where to begin. First, Greg and Doris are so friendly and welcoming. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The house itself is huge and even though it is accurately described, it is much bigger than I expected so we had plenty of space. Having four rooms allowed us four guys to spread out and have our own room as we were in town to see the Vikings play. That reminds me of how perfectly situated this house is. It is about 15 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from the Metrodome, 15 minutes from downtown, and seemingly 15 minutes or less from everywhere we wanted to go. The price is VERY reasonable and you are just throwing your money away if you stay anywhere else. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

My husband and I have been doing vacation rentals for two decades and this is definitely at the top of the list of all the places we have stayed. Not only is the home itself a dream for a larger group wanting relaxing time together, but Greg and Doris also go out of their way to be fantastic hosts. After burdening them with an early check-in, they rewarded us by taking us out to the garden and pointing at the fat cucumbers ready to be picked and enjoyed--by us. We stayed there with 6 adults and 2 kids and there was enough space for everybody to sleep, and more. We even hosted a small BBQ for my cousin and her groom to be so that the family could get to know him. Greg and Doris were totally laid back about our having people there, and we couldn't have had a better time. My husband forgot his phone charger and Doris promptly mailed it out for him. Oh, and did I mention that they stock things other rentals don't: various toiletries, ample paper products, etc. There is an entire spice rack that has been accumulated through past guests, and a perfectly stocked kitchen to get the job done. The standard joke quickly became "I wonder if there is a [x]" followed by "of course there is." (paper towels at hand in the downstairs entertainment room, food processor, Qtips that we forgot, etc.) The area is absolutely beautiful, one of the nicest neighborhoods in Minneapolis, with plenty of parking and even a garage for guest use, which would come in very handy in the winter months. I can't say enough good things about our experience here, and hope that we'll be able to return one day!

Thank you for the incredible accommodations you provided at the "Parkway Beauty!" The house had absolutely everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was a great place to stay while visiting our family in the twin cities. We loved the bike path and the closeness to Lake Harriett. We can't wait to visit again!

We greatly enjoyed our stay this past weekend. Your home was the perfect setting for our family to celebrate our daughter's graduation. The home was extremely clean and the photos accurately reflected the home's appearance. Doris was very helpful with answering my questions prior to our arrival. Thank you, Doris and Greg!

We had a great time visiting family around the Twin Cities. We loved the location - so close to everything, beautiful walks along the creek, close to the grocery store, & everything else we wanted. The house is lovely and you were so hospitable. The orchids and hydrangeas were gorgeous! Thank you for your hospitality.
