Why the Owner Chose Minneapolis
Having lived next door for over 30 years, we had considered buying the home for family member use at various times, but then had an opportunity when the neighbors were suddenly transferred out of town for business. We targeted the house specifically for international and corporate relocation families, and have developed some great continuing friendships with our guests. Being right next door, it has been very convenient for us to attend to the property and assist guests when needed.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Fully furnished down to the dishes, towels, and linens, guests can arrive, drop their luggage, and start relaxing. The house has a very spacious feel, and has several different areas for members of even large groups of guests to enjoy their own relaxation and privacy. The West Minnehaha Parkway setting is one of the most natural, quiet and enjoyable parts of the city, and the neighborhood is a wonderful, friendly little walking-distance village within a larger world-class metropolis.
Beautiful bandshell, concession, boat dock, and picnic areas. Concerts daily all summer long. Bike and jogging paths around the lake connect directly to the rental home via paths along Minnehaha Parkw
Fun, casual place for burgers, marvelous malts, and more. Walk 1 1/2 block straight North from the house.
Close-by park with tennis courts, basketball, and playground. Community Center on the South side of 50th St. has indoor basketball and events.

Greg and Doris have enjoyed hosting guests in their next-door rental home for the past 10 years. Avid gardeners and remodelers, they have poured great effort into making the house a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Having done extensive international travel themselves, they understand the little touches that make for a comfortable visit.

Thank you for making your spacious and delightful house available to our family. We all felt very “at home.” The house itself is beautiful but practical and appropriate for adults and children alike. We enjoyed the location, walked and ran the Parkway and Lake Harriet. It is near Minnehaha Falls Park, only about 5 miles away, where we rented a pavilion where the space, wading pool, & playgrounds were just right for the extended family.
