This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to a private beach. The open floor plan design allows for easy and comfortable entertaining. The well laid out kitchen is equipped with every modern convenience and plenty of space for maneuvering. Adding to the spacious living area is a covered patio with a grill and outdoor furniture overlooking the swimming pool. The tasteful furnishings and accessories are upscale yet cozy for vacationers. The high quality beds and linens make for a restful nights sleep. Staying in this gorgeous home fit all of our needs and beyond. Booking the reservation was flawless and easy. The entire experience here was outstanding. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My wife and I wanted to find a great rental place to host a family reunion - the first in over six years which all of our adult children could attend - and this home exceeded our high expectations! We had all of the amentites that mattered to us, to include: a pool that actually heated up without a long wait, a private beach within a few minutes walk, rideable bikes, miles of sidewalks well suited for safe walking and biking. a gas fireplace, a spacious and functional kitchen, comfortable beds, multiple TVs in separate rooms, a table big enough to accommodate all nine of us at meal time, a layout that lent itself to privacy when that is what we wanted, and a new generation washer and dryer. We were in a small cul-de-sac right off of A1A, quiet enough to seem secluded, but within an easy drive to the shopping centers which contained grocery and drug stores, a Panera, and a number of gyms/fitness centers. Without question, this home was the centerpiece of our Thanksgiving week which we will all remember fondly!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house was simply perfect. Everything you need (and more) is included. It was very quiet. The private beach was at a short walk (3 min.) from the house. It was easy and pleasant to deal with the owner and the manager. I recommended.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

Renting for the entire month this beautiful, family-owned home on the lovely barrier island of Vero Beach provided us with the relaxation and respite that we were seeking. This stunning home with its abundance of amenities exceeded our criteria/expectations. What a gem! The exterior design of the home is lovely and the well-manicured landscaping that surrounds the pool and outdoor sitting and dining areas make such a positive statement of the quality of this property. The interior of the home is spacious, filled with natural light and high ceilings, uncluttered, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The gourmet kitchen, master bathroom and the private beach within a very short, pleasant walking distance were but a few of our "favorite" things. The home's quiet location on the southern end of the island was perfect for us - a convenience store close by provided us with our daily newspapers and the 17th St. Bridge, equally close, took us to the mainland for our groceries. The Central Beach restaurants (Ocean Grill and The Lemon Tree-recommend) and delightful specialty shops were all equally accessible. When we weren't exploring the area's Botanical Gardens, tiny Citrus Museum or Riverside Park with its Art Museum, Theater and outdoor events such as "Under the Oaks," we simply enjoyed staying in and entertaining family and friends who all managed to "drop by" for short visits. This home was the perfect venue for these gatherings. We especially appreciate the fact and thank the family for renting a pet-friendly home; our Airedale truly enjoyed each and every day there and she is, indeed, a very discerning observer of her surroundings. All of us look forward to our return in March 2013. Shout-outs and thanks are also in order to their warm and welcoming Property Manager, and to the hard-working pool and lawn guys. All of them were wonderful to deal with, fun to talk with and were most responsive to any questions that we had.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We just returned from a family trip to Vero and stayed in this beautiful home. It has a perfect layout for families with children or two families vacationing together. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you can imagine. We cooked in and BBQ most nights and had everything we needed. The pool is fully gated which is perfect for small children. Meg, the property manager, was extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. It was a wonderful vacation and I would recommend this home highly along with the great location.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Like other reviewers before me, I have to say that pictures do not do this home justice (and I thought the pictures were gorgeous). It is just spectacular. The height of the ceilings, the decor of the house (inside and out), and the overall size of the home are just incredible. We rented it for a family vacation with our two small children (5 and 3) and the house is perfect for a family. The layout was great, the safety gate around the pool, and additional locks on the doors leading to the lanai were great. We have rented homes through Home Away before and I have never been able to walk into a home and just relax immediately without doing some cleaning before we settle in. I did not lift a finger in this house. It was absolutely spotless. We were all so comfortable here. The beach was so pretty (and empty) and just a short 5 minute walk through another beautiful neighborhood with a very pretty walkway. Having the beach toys and wagon were a great bonus and made it so easy on us. The pool and spa were beautiful and we spent every afternoon relaxing out there. Dave, the owner, was great to work with and answered all of our questions. His property manager, Meg, was also wonderful and made us feel welcome and comfortable in the home when she opened it for us and gave us our tour. She was also a great resource for information about local amenities. We drove to Disney two days during our stay, so it's definitely close enough for day trips. Overall, we had a fabulous vacation and would highly recommend this house to anyone! We hope to make a return visit someday!Owner response: I am happy to hear that you had such a wonderful time we truly love it there as well. Please come again Dave

Wow, what a house! The pictures online don’t do any justice for this property. When you walk in the front entrance way you come upon 12 foot ceilings in the very large open living room and dining room. The kitchen is truly a chefs kitchen with great work space and appliances. Off of the very large open living space you can relax in a very spacious family room (or close the kids off while they play in there) or catch up on some work in the private office. There are two bedroom wings of the open living space. The master bedroom suite is spectacular. Huge walk-in closet off the enormous bathroom and bedroom. The open living space, family room and master bedroom all over have doors onto the outdoor living space which has a great pool and hot tub. Also a covered patio area with nice a nice wicker sitting/conversation area and grill with eating area. I am very particular when it comes to renting houses and most of the time I don’t find a house that doesn’t have a problem with it, big or small I am picky. There was plenty of space for the three kids and 6 adults that were on our trip. The house was clean and well-kept and would recommend it to anyone that has a hint of OCD for cleanliness. The grounds of the property are within a gated community and are meticulously manicured. Plenty of beach toys, raffs, floats, coolers, towels, and anything else you could need to take your short three house walk to the beach. There was not a single person on the beach for most of the days were where there and when we did see people they were just couples walking along the beach.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The house and the swimming pool was great, but it was so many buggs in the afternoon that we couldn't sit outside after 6 pm. The beach looked very nice, but the waves were so big that the kids couldn't be in the water without holding on to an adult. It was fun to go to the beach at nighttime to see the turtles. Be careful with the security deposit, specially if you live outside the US. It took the owner 5 weeks to wire the money back to us. Before our visit I asked the owner if we could pay the security deposit in cash on arrival, and get it back in cash on checkout. This was not possible. The owner made me pay all the wiring fees when I wired money to him and I also had to pay the fees when he after 5 weeks wired money back to me.... There are no restaurants nearby. The closest public golf course is a 30 minutes drive away. Conclusion: Great house and pool, but this is not what you are looking for if you and your kids like to play and swim in the Atlantic Ocean. The way the owner has handled the security deposit also put this overall experience down. After one week in Vero Beach we stayed one week on the gulfcoast, where we had a great time. I will highly recommend the gulfcoast instead.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/6

We stayed two families (total of 9 people) in this wonderful home and we never felt crowded at any time. We rented in the peak of summer and the Beach was literally deserted! The house was very clean, elegant and very close to the beach (a real 5 min walk). The house is large, with a sufficient number of rooms both to sleep and to enjoy time. There is a small living room in addition to the large one; this allowed us to have sort of a playroom for the children while the parents could relax in the nearby large living room or on the terrasse near the pool. The sleeping rooms were big, the master bedroom being enormous, with a beautiful ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet. All bathrooms were in perfect shape. The kids loved to be able to go to the beach and swim in the pool. The latter is fairly big with an adjacent jacuzzi. There is also a good size lawn on the side where you can play soccer or football. Each living room had a TV, so did the bedrooms. Kitchen was great, with all that is required to cook great meals if you are a foodie. Two car garage, even if you don't really need it as you are in a gated community. The only drawback to this location is that one is a little far from the convenience stores (15-20 drive). This being said, there is a wonderful fish store to the South, at the entrance of Fort Pierce. I strongly recommend this house if you are looking for a quiet and elegant getaway.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We chose Vero Beach because it is such a pretty town that is not overun with people and traffic. There are excellent restaurants and the down town area has graet shops, fun nightlife and much more. We visited many FL towns and found Vero to be the right fit.
